Wives have amazing influence over fishing trips don't they.. Headed out next Sunday on the Voyager for the usual Ling/Cod/Seabass dance. I'm hearing there's a few winter flounders and the occasional marauding Gator Blue to be had too. Here's some good news.. My new manager is a fisherman! He even goes out of Jersey and likes to bottomfish. Go figure.. I might be able to hang on a few extra years with a boss like this.
Got several offshore trips planned for Oct. and Nov. Headed to Block Island for Cod, Pollock, Jumbo Porgy and Seabass both trips. Can't Wait!!
Headed out tomorrow on my Block Island trip! Hopefully Melissa will just wander her big ass further offshore..Will post FULL SIZED pics.
You guys let me know how the game turns out. I'm on the road to Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ in 1/2hr. Go Jets!
Dude, I can only describe it as a Slaughter.. First pool win in a few years! Amazing, Jets beat Cowboys, Cman wins pool! Karma???
Those were all fresh from the cooler on the way to the cutting table! I had 20lbs of ice in the cooler but it was overwhelmed by the amount of fish. Everybody needs a day like this now and then Stinky. It was magical out there. I see how NE and LI Sound gets their reps as prime fishing areas..
... but was there ice in the cooler? Way to get on em... wrist injury has had me miss ALOT of good surf and fishing the past 2 months
Nice job and congrats on winning the pool and I speak for everyone when I say I appreciate you posting pics that are larger than my pinky nail lol
thanks.... yep, a long HOT & FLAT summer..... broke my wrist (2 months ago) just in time for a run of surf and hungry tarpon. Just got an invite to head offshore bottom fishing on friday. Gonna test out the wrist..... not sure how cranking fish off the bottom is gonna work. If it doesnt I'll be sitting on the bow drinking beer. btw. I was kinda serious about the ice thing..... the white blotches on the fish are due to not being iced down enough
Really depends on weather.... In summer we have to load up. 4 of us and we'll bring 80-100# (and a bag for the beer cooler) and more importantly if the fish are covered. Laying them on top doesnt cut it. You dont need a ton if you Bury them in there.... you shouldve bought that fish bag when it was on sale
