Pretty sure Atlanta just drafted two OL with their picks in the first round

I think it has less to do with how things fall and more to do with the front office making informed decisions. That’s where good teams excel and why teams like the Jets have been perennially awful.

That and not having the mentality than a good OL can be built with low round picks.

Amen to that. Don't trade any draft picks, now that we finally have a real GM. Offer one/more of your DL not named Williams and/or one of your LBs not named CJ Mosely, if you have to make a deal.

I wouldn't give up more than 3rd round pick for him. He's going to need an extension after this season and he has missed 13 games in the last 3 seasons which is a concern.

Damn right. About time the jets started stockpiling picks, instead of giving them away for Rashad Robinson, Ryan Clady, Doug Jolley, etc.

Conditional 3rd that can go up to a 2nd if he plays most games + does well.

We complained for Maccs whole time here that he ignored the OL, that he didnt put enough resources into it. Now we may have a chance for one of, if not the best LT in football and we need to pump the breaks? No, you get who you can when you can.

LTs like him are hard as hell to find in the 2nd and 3rd round.

Yesterday, listening to an NFL sports wrtter and analyst that follows the Falcons Division in depth the topic of top LT came up. For what is worth, in his professional opinion, Trent is arguably the second or third best LT out in the NFL right now and he would trade a 2nd for him in an instant. He thinks teams like the Vikings should jump on it, as well as many other would be contenders with an improved OL.
Is he that good? if so I would jump on it with my third and bring this line from bordeline to really good. But what do I know? I'm always a proponent of keeping my draft picks now that we have a real GM.

    I wouldn’t cough up a 2nd. I’d be more than happy to do a 4th. 3rd rounder I would be ok with.

I hate how much sense it makes for Cleveland to make this trade. Their tackles suck, and it’s the potential Achilles heel on a very talented offense. Plus they just got an extra mid rounder in the Duke Johnson deal. And Dorsey has shown a willingness to be aggressive to bring in talent.

As if that fan base couldn’t get any more obnoxious. This would put it over the top.

They're the only fanbase I know that becomes insufferable before they win.
