Very bad football. This team had a lot of news faces. A handful of very good players trying to create chemistry with complete and utter garbage from Mac's tenure. This is probably going to look like crap, but now is the right time for it to look like crap.
Lack of investment in the OL is such a teller on how bad MAC was. You trade 3 seconds for a QB and not draft a single OL or sign a FA is a fucking joke this point is valid
No injuries and if Darnold and the 1st team offense play then I hope to see them put a good drive together that ends with a TD. For the 1st team defense get a 3 and out, get pressure on the QB, stop the run. The usual stuff everyone wants to see from the Jets. But mostly no injuries. Get to 9/8 healthy and beat the Bills.

This game will be boring and won't even have close to the impact it normally has in week 3. Starters will play 1 series if we are lucky. Terrible decision moving Giants game to week 1.
It’s because we play them in the regular season. Neither team wants to show their hand to a team they’ll have to play for real. Teams don’t gameplan the first 2 preseason games.
Probably moved this meaningless game to week 1 because they are meeting in the regular season this year so neither team would show much anyway. Next year they will go back and move this meaningless game back to week 3.
Since we play the Giants this season, I expect to see nothing but vanilla everywhere. Aside from some fundamental technique stuff from the younger players, there won't be a whole lot to take away from this game.
I very highly doubt that is the reason. The Jets play them every four years and this is the first time in ages the Jets vs Giants game has not been week 3. They don't really game plan for week 3 either. It's very vanilla, regardless. And if teams were worried about tipping their hand, it wouldn't matter either way because they have video footage of it that any team we play all year can study.

I’d actually like to see a fair amount of FG’s attempted. If this dude continues to choke then they need to bring in another guy to compete. As many as it takes to find a guy who can be somewhat reliable.
