We’ve just gotta tread some water early because there’s a 7 game stretch in our schedule where we could easily go 5-2, if not better (fingers crossed) @ JAX @ MIA NYG @ WAS OAK @ CIN MIA I know it’s hard to predict strength of schedule but that’s a group of teams expected to be among the worst in the league. If we can hit that stretch at 3-3 I think we’re in really good shape.
What are you smoking Brook! 9-7 at best. I say 8-8. We have no corners and we have half of an OLine. 10 wins really? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I don’t think 10-6 is out of the question. New Jets head coaches always have winning seasons. If Sam makes the jump, Bell performs like Bell, and our receivers perform to or over expectations, we’ll have a really nice offense. Should be an interesting year no matter what happens.
I have to say you were right that the cans are MUCH colder than the draft beers. I prefer the taste of Hoegaarden draft (especially now that that they have 3-4 kiosks in the stadium) but I'll take a cold cold cold cold can any day over a semi-cold draft. I have to wait until late Nov / early Dec until the draft beers are really cold. The best thing about going to see the Jets / fish in Miami is the taps are refrigerated, coldest draft beer in the league for the different stadiums I've been to so far.
Hey my friend. Don’t know if you followed but I became a STH this year. Let’s catch up at a few games this year eh?
I usually drink ShockTop wheat in the beginning of the season & Guinness or Bklyn Larger when it gets colder. I’ve never complained about the draft beers at JetLife, helps that I have 2 stands right outside my section 203, a bathroom too.
If the OL can overcome the depth problems and Harrison proves he's a long term starter... we could be a real threat.
If the Jets go 10-6, Darnold will have to be the league's MVP. This team has no OL and will struggle mightily against the pass with nobody at CB. And this is before injuries inevitably set in. A 6-10 or 7-9 finish with the team showing flashes of potential future success is the best that we can hope for, IMO.
All depends on how Darnold develops. If he beasts and the team develops chemistry, then playoffs are certainly possible. It's not unheard of. Take care of business against the Bills and Dolphins and you have four wins. Split with the Pats? Half way to 10. Looking at their schedule, I don't think there are really many dominant teams there. Of course that can change from year-to-year, but... Weeks 3-6 (with 4 being bye) and 15-16 will probably be the toughest stretch.
This reminds me of the 2006 team in Mangini's first year. The team bought in and Pennington who could barely throw half of the route tree was brilliant. This team has better over all talent. We can definitely go 10 and 6.
It really does depend on Darnold and injuries. The OL is shaky as hell but that didn’t prevent Darnold from making plays last season. With more weapons assuming everyone is healthy, there’s no reason to think Darnold won’t look even better. Darnold playing better = more wins. 6 more is debatable, but it’s not some unclimbable mountain. Teams make big turnarounds every season.
Things don't happen in a vacuum. We're not the only team in the AFC that has improved. We should be better than 4-12, but lets not get disappointed if the team comes up short of the playoffs. As long as we see tangible improvement in critical areas, we should be satisfied with whatever record we wind up with. If we still look like we can't get out of our own way on a journey to a 4 or 6 win season? all bets are off..
