Before considering Bledsoe I'd check out.... Damon Huard Charlie Batch Kurt Warner Brian Griese even.. Kerry Collins who had a comparable QB rating prior to being tossed into Tennessee... Which could be a very good trade.
if you were a Chargers fan, you'd be thinking the same thing about Phillip Rivers right around this time last year. i don't think anyone can say Clemens wouldn't have us at 7-6. how could anyone possibly know that? cheers
You could be right. But i think although Chad has had a few horrible games, people underestimate his importance to why we are even in contention this year
You're completely right, Clemens would definitely have had us at 8-5! You figure we'd have lost the first 2 games of the season, since we did get a good performance out of Pennington in Week 1, and we lost to the Patriots anyway. That first Bills game I have faith that Clemens could have passed for more than 183 yards, so I think we could have won that. The Colts are a loss, the Jaguars are a loss. Against Miami, it was two fluke plays by the WRs, and Clemens could have hit a wide open Coles just as easily. Against Detroit, fine, let's chalk up a loss in terms of experience difference. So right now Clemens is 2 losses behind. Against the Browns, I think Clemens would have won, hard to do worse than Chad. Against the Patriots, another win, it's not like Chad did anything that game. Against the Bears, I think another win, we wouldn't have gone for the onside kick, and Clemens wouldn't have thrown 2 retarded INTs while doing nothing all game long. Clemens has now gotten 2 of those wins back, and is even with Chad. GB and Houston suck, so 2 more wins there. Against Buffalo, Clemens with good game exp on the year probably wins it, and now we're a game ahead of what Chad got us, by taking the losses earlier. At 8-5 we'd be one game behind the division lead, and we have a realistic shot of winning out and finish 11-5 with a good QB (if he's really supposed to be good). He'd most likely lose by the second round of the playoffs at the latest, but that exp would help for next year. But now, instead, what do we have? We're 7-6 and likely will lose at least 1 of our remaining games if not two of them. We don't have potential for next year, and our current QB is not going to get any better. Basically we wasted an entire year and got nothing out of it, and we probably won't even finish any better.
Dr. Christian Troy, I think YOU need a doctor of your own. It may be a joke, but don't even joke like that.
I thought it was funny Doc. We need some light heartedness among the 'everyone sucks, bench Chad' ect ect ect. ....
Oh, ffs. Far too many people are far too stupid on here. They say if you have to explain a joke it's a bad joke, but this was a good one. For the slow of thinking: Twice in recent times Drew Bledsoe has been benched and the guy who came in turned out to be really good. At his other team he wasn't benched and the guy who came in wasn't really good. So if we sign Bledsoe and bench him after a few games, the guy who replaces him is guaranteed to be really good. It's a good joke, it's not a suggestion. Jeez.
hindsight can be deadly. retarded fucking post #912837091287301928370192837102937120987213 on this board delete forums.
first thing: improve run defense jets should solidify their defense first cause that's the most glaring weakness, then concentrate on depth. how bout giving adalius thomas a huge deal or wait until the draft and hope pitcock or pouzloony falls into the jets lap?
