we are solid on d line lber and safety if Maye stays healthy. We are very week depth wise at cub. Why can’t they bring back mo Claiborne for depth and a spot start if needed.he played good enough last yr. we could use 2 vets. Cb could kill us if we don’t get pass rush. What you guys think?
Good edge rushers can mask deficiencies at corner. Good corners can mask deficiencies at edge rusher. We have neither. Our defense has a ton of talent but it’s at all the wrong spots. Definitely concerning.
I think they will look to bring Claiborne back but for now they can use camp to look at their younger players and potential training camp cuts let them get the reps in training camp. Additionally, they can probably get Claibornes asking price down and get a better understanding of his health the longer they wait. No one else is currently clamoring for his services right now so they can wait.
Story of our entire roster. We're loaded at the relatively unimportant positions of running back, interior defensive line, inside linebacker, and safety. Whereas our receivers are mediocre, and our offensive line, edge rushers, and corners suck. Thanks Mac.
roster is pretty much set. if claiborne is healthy we can bring him back under a 1 year deal but for 2019 we have possible holes at C and CB and not much we can do about that right now. Every team has holes on it but we are stacked with young talent, we have a FQB finally it's really hard to complain about the position the jets are in right now. it's probably the best off we've been since 2009 when we went to the AFC championship games and even then we had holes at QB and WR
I’m sure they will all be fathers by then too. In 100 years a sizable portion of the U.S population will be traced back to Antonio cromartie. Ancestory. Com will be sending letters out stating you are 57% Italian 33% Portuguese and 10% cromartie
The usual complaints by fans, arent they? Start with the buzz words of the 2010's, unimportant positions. Since when is ILB, S & RB uninportant to building a winning team? Palomaula, Ed Reed, Sanders, etc, etc at S didnt help? ILB, the list is huge of winning top LBs who played inside. When did DT become unimportant? And why? In a thread that complains we need S help, another calls it a meaningless strength. Some call our WRs mediocre, well very few do, others think theyre the best in the division and can have a big break out year. The OL has been a concern of fans since the 1970's. For all the complaints a year ago, the fear of Darnolds survival, the OL was graded out as top half of the league.
Tall: check Fast: check: Big Dick: check Dumb as a box of rocks: check Congratulations, you are at least 10% Cromartian. Send your transcript to FSU at once.
If they wanted to bring Claiborne in they would have done it by now. My guess is his current medicals are just too iffy for the team to take a chance on.
True....or Douglas could bring him in week 2 to avoid owing him a full year's pay. Claiborne is a vet and could plug-and-play to a degree.
yup. funny thing is if we had stud edge rushers but were weaker up the middle, we'd hear the complaints about how teams just pound the ball up the middle all game and we can't stop it. Apparently players like aaron donald and luke kuechly suck because their position isn't important.
Who says that those 2 players suck? The point is this team has neglected or done a poor job in filling key positions. There's a reason they've gone 14-34 over the last 3 seasons.
It's a passing league now. You protect your QB, give him targets to throw to, rush the other team's QB, and deny him his targets. I said relatively unimportant, not meaningless. Those people need a reality check. Then again, Gronk (might as well be a receiver) retired and the Bills and Dolphins suck at WR so there isn't much competition in the division. Still, Brady's going to pull a good receiver out of his ass. Who on Earth graded our OL as top half of the league?
