I was up in Section 303 and it seemed that the stadium was only at about 75% capacity. I was truly surprised, the weather was warm and the fans plain old sucked for this game.
thats weird in the beggining of the game it looked packed full to me. by far the most this year. that was on tv though. but i did see alot walking out around the 4th.
This really annoys me. I don't know why it has to be that way. I think Mangini likes being sarcastic when he says "Jets fans are the best fans."
I wasn't there, but my father said they place was going nuts before the game even started. Said Fireman Ed had the place rocking with J-E-T-S Jets chants.
I was there, about 10 minutes before kickoff it was empty, than it filled up like crazy.... big difference compared to when I went to the game the last time the Bills played at home against the Jets >__> The entire stadium started walking out after Chad's second pick, at the beginning it seemed very packed to me and loud......... of course I've never been to an important game before.......... Meh, I thought the opening where the players came out of the locker room was amazing, hehe
Agreed on everything. Fireman Ed had crowd rocking. Everyone around me was doing the chant. It was awesome. Obviously when the Jets weren't clicking, which was really most of the game, the crowd wasn't so hot, and people started to leave when Chad began to throw his interceptions. I stayed the ENTIRE game. When it was the final few minutes, the crowd looked like it was before the game even started.
Yeah, the place was actually really good before the game started. Of course, most people feel like for the rest of the game, their job is to just sit on their seat and watch the game and only stand on 3rd down sometimes. I figure if that's what you go to a game to do, just watch at home where it's warm. But they pay for it, so whatever.
He did and the parking lot was raging as early as 11AM but there were a TON of empty seats... It was truly an odd game, it seemed like there was something out of sync from the first kickoff. Maybe it was those green pants again.
I do not understand why people constantly critique the Fans every game. We were definately up for the game before it started. Why people do not get in before kickoff, I could not tell you why. There was almost absolutely Nothing to root for after the score was 10-7. The Bills were racking up big plays and we were pedestrian. The game was over at 28-13 and Really over 31-13 with 7 minutes left. Sometimes I think that people that do not go to the games think that we should scream and yell non stop no matter what the situation is.
I thought it was absolutely pathetic. Any empty seats in a stadium for an important game is simply pathetic. I've been to every game for the past two years and never walked out with the sense that the crowd was good. There is too much booing, very little support on big plays, and everyone leaves early. It's sad.
I've only ever been to a game once, in 97.....so i really cant comment on the fans in the stadium. See what i mean...."the stadium".........when the f*ck do we , or will we ever get a true stadium of our own.screw this notion of sharing again with the Giants..i think that sucks BIG TIME. And those green pants.......lets get real, can we please........christ all mighty
I traveled from Baltimore to the game yesterday... the crowd was great at the beginning with Fireman Ed doing the continuous JETS chants. From section 304 it looked full besides the normal scalper seats by the lower endzone. Not sure how it is for the regulars who go to everygame, but the guy behind me was a Dolphin/Giant fan (his friend has season tix and brought him) and everytime I stood up he complained and asked me sit down... does that happen a lot because that's the first time it really happened to me.
It happens all the time, and normally its a Jets fan that asks you to sit, what you do is you turn around and tell them "its a freakin football game pal, if you wanna sit down and watch the game, stay at home!". It works everytime without fail. As for yesterdays game, it was packed up until it was clear that the Jets were gonna lose... normal for most sporting events.
Not that it comes close to being at a game, but does anyone think HD (with the widescreen view of the action) and all the big screen TV's / 5.1 sound systems have something to do with less fan attendance? I think the home viewing experience, especially if you have Sunday Ticket, has completely changed the home viewing experience.
I sit in 303 and I thought the fans were pretty good until we took a nosedive in the second half. It was a pretty decent crowd, I only had to break up one fight.
Yeah the crowd was pretty week. Sitting in 310 the place was VERY quiet at points. Important 3rd downs were the exception.
