Wow, if I didn’t know any better I’d think that this panel was specially designed to talk about Adam Gase and Sam Darnold. Lots of connections, made for a cool segment.
Former Jet who’s been working with Gase for the last couple years. That entire show should’ve been about our offense.
Given total hindsight now I'm tempted to wonder how different things would be if we'd traded or FA'd Josh McCown onto our team instead of Mark Sanchez. I think I'd go back on roll the dice on it and such a move probably would have been sneered at the time. Probably would have even side stepped the Hackenburg pick.
Great video, thanks! I have said it for months before draft day, but Sam Darnold is going to be the real deal. The jump this year will shock some people, but it really shouldn't. They put a good coaching staff and weapons around him. The O-line is the only question mark for me. Just have to pray he stays healthy. Sam will do the rest. Nice job by McCown too. He will be a good analyst for ESPN.
Everything on those shows is scripted. That means one of two things. Either they're trolling you. Which Is highly plausible, considering the countless other QBS they said looked good at camp or combine work outs, that amounted to being forgotten. Or, he does have a nice showing of talent. Doesn't matter if the rest of the team sucks anyway, does it? Maybe he'll be another Bernie Kosar. So close to the promise land.....then ohhhh, a handful of nothing.

Don't underestimate the value of a poster like Wackenburg. He gives us someone to kick around...so we go easier on each other.
Personally, I thought that panel was quite reserved about their praise for Sammy? I get giddie thinking about his prospects. I think he's going to be the best QB the Jets have ever had and that's coming from - an insanely critical a$$hole from way back.
