this is the stuff i like about the gase hiring, I'm excited to watch this offense. This has to be the most exciting group we had since vinny,c-mart,chrebet, and KJ

I feel like there were 0 read option plays last year. Should be fun to run with Bell, and even more fun if we have Bell on the field at the same time as Montgomery or Powell.

Backfield of Bell, Montgomery, Powell and Eli should be very fun to watch.

This is a very good thing.

If you watch Darnold play, he is the type of QB that does better at a faster pace. No-huddle, improvising, etc, is when he plays his best

I don’t think Eli even makes the team unless he gets a special teams spot but Cannon probably gets that before him. And that’s fine, the other three alone are a great trio and also serve as great depth if one goes down. Regardless it’s such a breath of fresh air to here the staff is catering to the talent rather than the talent trying to fit in with what the staff wants.

he's a backyard gunsligner favre/rodgers type of player. I love everything about the kid. can't wait to see what he can do with a competent OC and some talent around him. I'm sure gase is happy to have darnold too and not tannehill

I'm excited to see this offense, but my concern is this. We have a weak OL, a QB who struggled with interceptions when throwing downfield last year, a lot of short and intermediate range targets, and a coach who was known for checking down in Miami. I hope Darnold will have the time and ability to step up in the pocket and throw downfield, but I'm concerned it could turn into a lot of checkdowns, along with the occasional but ineffective deep ball.

Sam hasn't been in the league long enough yet to raise the level of play around him so its up to the CS to do that and so far Gase has done well. Considering we've been force fed garbage on Offense for years, this hopefully will be a refreshing change of pace. With any luck, Douglas will pay attention to the Oline and protect Sam with some quality DP's in 2020 and Gase will be more unpredictable than the idiot we had calling plays last year.

Eli is quick but you can knock him over with a feather. That was my observation, anyway

We’ve had good offenses since then. O’Brien, McNeil, Toon, Walker and Shuler had some great moments. We’re not talking about the best offense the Jets have ever had, just the best since...

Brady is the perfect example of the QB who elevates his teammates. Pats roster does not blow one away. Sam made his receivers look better last year, but they were limited by injury and a bad scheme. Bell, the new slot guy whose name I keep forgetting, and an improved Herndon, will elevate Sam's play. I think Sam can make a big difference with Anderson this year. They were starting to feel it later last year. Gase will elevate the options for all the players

Cannon has to prove he can catch. His only way on the team is ST.

If Cannon is dropping balls McGuire makes the team.

I think Cannon will be more valuable on ST than McGuire in that loaded RB room. McGuire just isn’t really good at any one thing. He’s an ok runner, ok pass catcher and a non existent blocker from what I saw. I was fine with giving him the shot but with a backfield this loaded (barring injury) he’s kinda useless.

I read the entire Athletic article (it's a positive one). Hughes also made sure to note the strength and accuracy of Sam's arm. A lot of reasons to be optimistic heading into the season.

He's 214. Shouldn't be the case. Not that he's some Ear Campbell mad bull but 214 is not a pushover

With how RB's get hurt I think he sticks around. Not so sure Cannon makes it
