Sorry but tired of looking at loss threads. Time to change our tune. 2010 beating pats in New England is tops for me. 41-0 beating Indy in playoffs a close second.
Beating the Pats in the playoffs. Oddly enough their are a lot to choose from but that game definitely sticks out.
I'll go a little different from some of the more obvious ones like the New England playoff game. The 2002 season finale against the Packers was a highlight. After how miserably that season began, to blow out the Packers at home to complete the turnaround to a division championship and head into the playoffs as one of the hottest teams in the league was exciting.
Beating the Chargers at San Diego in the divisional round and WC round in 2009 and 2004, respectively.
After the defeat earlier that year, this game, this play...I hope to have a different answer this time next year.
November 11, 2008. Thursday night suicide pact. https://forums.theganggreen.com/thr...icide-pact-a-thread-for-real-jets-fans.37964/
Yeah, this being the eighth post is about as absurd as anything I can imagine (understanding of course all of the people who weren't alive to remember it). The AFL Championship game two weeks earlier was in fact definitely a better game, but if you were in New York you didn't see it live unless you were in Shea Stadium (or a bar with the game on); either way, nothing can possibly compare to SB III.
Almost any win vs the Pats in the Brady/Belichick era is awesome but that playoff win was everything.
I'm glad we got this thread because earlier today I posted that I was tired of yet another "whats our worst loss ever" thread. But any "greatest victory" thread has to start with Supe III. and you are so right that while the Super Bowl was the biggest win ever, the 1968 AFL championship game was by far the greatest game we ever played.
The Monday Night Miracle and knocking off the 1# seeded patriots on the road in the divisional round are at the top of my list.
Wasn’t around for it but I’ve seen all the footage known to man about Super Bowl 3 and the guarantee. Has to be 1 The best win I have seen live was beating the Pats in the playoffs
@TurkJetFan gets it! Great thread. Wish I was around to see Super Bowl III live, but I was not. Obviously beating the Jaguars in 1998, Colts in 2002, Chargers in 2004, Bengals and Chargers in 2009 and Colts and Patriots in 2010 are my favorite wins as they were playoff games. Best non-playoff games would be wins over the Patriots. Each one feels sweet. Some other games that come to mind: -2008 Favre and the Jets beating the undefeated Titans. -2000 Monday Night Miracle -2018 Week 1 crushing the Lions and Sam's big comeback road win against the Bills. -2002 wins against the Chargers and Patriots. I remember the blowout win in San Diego then a huge win in New England that eventually helped win the East a week later. -2015 Overtime wins over the Giants and Patriots. -2006 against the Texans. Maybe not a great game, but I remember being there and the crowd thinking Chad was hurt, then he came back and pumped the crowd up. -1997 blowout win over the Seahawks in Bill Parcells' first game. We knew the Jets were a different team from that moment on. -1996 win over the Cardinals. As a kid, I celebrated way too much that night. Any Jets win makes me happy, but those are a few of my favorites.
