What a fuktup organization. Newyorkjets.com has nothing about the hiring although NFL.com says an announcement has been made. How? By smoke signals? This is not really that important, just indicative of how unprofessionally the whole team is run.
This whole post is irrelevant considering the Jets twitter account was the first outlet. It literally came directly from the team.
Right there, pure proof of what I'm saying. An hour after the word is out, the Jets send out a freakin' tweet. Any organization in any business (except perhaps the US government) makes this type of significant announcement by disseminating a press release to news channels and posting it on their official website, not by tweeting. Not the Jets. An hour later they have now posted the same eleven words they tweeted, no detail, no congratulatory language, no future plans. Have they fired everyone in the PR department? As Byz alluded to above, the same people responsible for this process were responsible for the uniform unveiling. Sheesh! Has anyone ever flown a banner to oust the Public Relations director?
Can you read? Do you not understand what I wrote? There is nothing at all irrelevant about what I wrote. Maybe you did start drinking too early this weekend. I'll bet that even Twitter would send out a press release before or at the same time they tweeted about hiring a new COO. This is a multi-billion dollar business, why do they operate like a local saloon? Actually that's a lousy comparison; a local saloon knows their customers.

Hallelujah! I definitely think that Douglas was the right choice, and I'm glad that it has been resolved! Hopefully, this is the start of something great for the Jets!
