I am sick of missed opportunities by Management By next week our new GM will be in place and for once some smart moves will be made come Draft Day instead of landing the BPA Putting the bad behind us...
So that’s two days, two reports of Williamson getting juked out of his shoes by Bell in coverage. It’s almost like you shouldn’t have traded your best coverage linebacker for peanuts and forced a top-tier run stopping linebacker to defend the pass…
With the excellent angles and text book tackling Lee displayed, I'm sure he'd have no problem tackling Bell in the open field
lol landing the BPA in the draft is the smart move.. you are hoping the next GM reaches for need instead? oy
Pretty safe to assume that one of the highest rated coverage LBs in the league making almost no money (relative of course) as part of a rotation is the better option over forcing Williamson to play in coverage.
no it's not safe to assume that. Lee couldn't tackle a pylon, let alone Bell. I'd take Williamson on the field any day over Lee, and it's not even close imo. I do agree that having him for depth was a better option than a late 6th round pick tho.
Lee already had his chance. Bell put up 154 total yards against Lee & the Jets in 2016 in a Steelers 31-13 rout
not a chance thats true....he was begging to get into the 2nd round....why wouldnt he do it to drop ONE spot.....nonsense
I mean this is what my original post said so I'm not sure what we're doing here. Williamson is also not good in coverage. He's phenomenal at stopping the run, one of the best. And this isn't just something I'm basing off last year, it was written about when we signed him last year. Having Lee as part of a rotation on passing downs would be a MUCH better option than forcing your best run stopper to defend the pass. Bell averaged 157 yards from scrimmage per game in 2016. First, it's pretty dumb to pin the success of an opposing running back on one ILB. Second, your choice of statistic didn't work out for you at all. By your definition, Lee did an above average job!
Per the New York Post: Marcus Maye (shoulder) was in a red no-contact jersey for seven-on-seven drills. He did not participate in team drills.
Didn't want to hear that Darnold looked bad in his offense again. Or wanted to celebrate his birthday. Hopefully Darnold shows up. Unlike Wilkerson.
Fellas, this isn't even training camp yet. I know we're starved for football but c'mon now. Let's root for health and attitude, that's it.
He only had one bad day & it was basically throwing 2-3 picks on a day of heavy install. Yesterday didn’t have alot of team periods but there was no mention of any Darnold ints or strugggles & he made at least one high end throw. Enunwa had a rough day however w. A few drops
You believe what you want. Macc was also begging to move back but he felt the value of the #3 was higher than the offers he received. He wanted more then 4/35 for 3 overall.
