Fetterer is not a bad candidate at all.He started from the ground floor & made his way up to a highly trusted & valued executive.
He’ll understand the type of dynamic necessary w a HC like Gase from his time w Carroll who is outspoken on personnel & has a quirky scheme in his own right.

Per cimini Hes very strong in college scouting & light on the pro side.Champ Kelly would make a ton of sense as a right hand man..not that im insinuating an arranged marriage within the front office or anything...

it literally makes no sense to cheap out on a GM but spend 50 million on a player. the GM builds the team and arguably is more responsible for as teams sucess then anyone else as you cna't win with a shit roster. I really hope that isn't true and if douglas is the jets guy, they pay him what he wants

This is the "penny-wise; pound foolish" mentality I've complained about with the Johnsons in the past. Sure, it SEEMS like they spend money, but not in the ways that make the most sense. Not paying a guy who theoretically will dictate the course of your team the money he wants when you're a million apart is cheap.

 

It was referenced in numerous articles when he was first mentioned as taking over team for sir Woody

 

Maybe Gase doesn't feel the GM is all that important.
