Sterling is pretty good although he's one bad hit away from scrambled eggs. They obviously like Wesco and think he can be a player. Herndon is the lead dog. Leggett can't block or stay healthy, why are you going to waste reps on him? "He's young" doesn't cut it for me anymore. So was Doug Jolley.
so does coughlin and yet fournette is still on the team, he also had some real head cases during his time with the giants. Yes miami has been better then us with a worse roster that's where i give credit to gase. I like hime as a coach, not as a GM or having a say in the roster i see the difference and i'm not insulted but saying "you have a bias" is basically dismissing any points made because you can't make a good counter point. it's a lazy cop out for when you don't have an answer. me: the sky is green you: no it's blue me: your just biased against green see how stupid that looks? it's not about the moves, it's about the trust level and him saying 1 thing and doing another. i don't care if he traded someone who we all knew wouldn't be here after 2019 regardless, or if he cut an often injured TE, or if he signed camp fodder punter. it's about him repeating the mistakes he made in miami. I think most are missing the big picture. that's probably around his market value. he should be getting a contract similar to williamson if not a little more. so basically we lost a 2021 4th to get a 2020 6th plus lost a season of having a depth/sub/package guy
Yes, I and others have. One more time: there are things that have to be done now by a GM. Acquiring talent and clearing roster space; setting up for T.C.; rookie contracts. You're in complete hysteria over nothing. Calm down. Or don't, it's your blood pressure.
Your denial of having a bias would be more believable if you even hinted at trying to see my or anyone else's opposite POV...even a little.
Which of these moves involved acquiring talent, setting up for TC, or rookie contracts? I guess you could argue clearing roster space....but again that's a determination that should be made by the new GM. There isn't much at this time of year that can't wait a week.
I would like for Gase to get Quinnen signed already to be honest. But agreed, all little moves with no real impact. Jet fans are out of control.
That same 'pretty good punter' was also cut by Gase last September and whose #'s dropped when he went north to Buffalo. .
How many teams have you run? HOw do you know what does, or doesn't, have to be done? And again, it's not like he's Dealin' Dan, reworking the entire roster.
i'd look at another POV if one was offered. instead people just go nah your biased lol instead of actually offering a counter point.
So go ahead and tell us which of Gase's moves had to be done this week, and how they fit into your justification criteria that you listed above? That's just a rhetorical question btw. I don't think you're interested in any critical conversation related to Gase. We can just agree to disagree that there are concerning things going on with this organization.
There is nothing to be critical of yet. He has not made any bad moves. You are being critical because he did something as acting GM? Come on be critical when he does something to be critical of. Not rumors from Miami that is more dysfunctional than the Jets. I am sure there will plenty of things BTW they just have not happened yet. What I have seen as GM thus far is helping out players that were not going to contribute to the team Legett gets picked-up, Lee traded to a team that plays a 4-3. Both good things for the players involved.
