Always felt like the opposite when I was a kid. The sun-speckled Giants helmets would be prancing around at 1:00, with the whole glorious day in front of them. By the time the Jets fucked up their 4:00 game, it was dark and cold and I still had a week's worth of homework to do.
Anyone remember when Ellis got arrested for speeding and pot possession in early December 2008? A few weeks later he intercepted J.P. Losman in The Old Dump after the two minute warning and scored an 11 yd TD to clinch the game vs. Buffalo. The photo on the back of The New York Post had Ellis holding out the ball over the goal line. Someone photoshopped a bong in his hand instead. Hahahaha. Ellis had his moments. His game against the Cheats at Cheatsette Stadium that knocked them out of the playoffs was probably the best game of his career. Agree about your superstar comment about him. I always felt he could've achieved way more than he did.
Heh. No matter. Pacing is part of my regimen. Sit ups. Pacing. Push ups. Pacing. Hiking. Pacing. Walk the dog. Pacing.
Props to Ellis for his long tenure esp. his playoff game at New England. . Solid player, but not with Q's ceiling.
I recall that Ellis caused Jerome Bettis to fumble in the red zone late in the AFC championship game, however, if I remember correctly, the Jets couldn't take advantage of the turnover.
Q would do well to have a career as good as Ellis. In terms of ceiling, Ellis was also a top draft prospect, and was a very effective End in both the 3-4 and 4-3. I need to see Q actually do something before I can entertain him being a better version of Ellis. He does seems like the real deal tho, so I'm excited to see it.
