I would trade a potential 2nd we could get in a draft day haul but I wouldn’t trade a first with the amount of young talent we need.
I think this is Manish bitching about Cimini who has been running with the Clark story all week. I’d be highly surprised if either beat writer knows what the hell is going on.
The seahawks got 9M in cap space have to pay draft picks ( 4M ) and next year have to pay bobby wagner and jarran reed . They being unrealistic and wanting a first round pick for clark they cant afford him anyway.
Clark traded to the Chiefs Seattle gets their first, swap of thirds and next year's second round pick. Clark gets 5 years $105 million
Holy CHRIST is that steep! I guess the only team for which a deal like that can even remotely make sense is one that is a legitimate favorite to get to/win the Super Bowl and a glaring need at the position.
Swapping our 3 for their 21 would have been the equivalent in trade value chart of giving Seattle the 8th pick in the draft which far far exceeds what the Chiefs gave up. There is no way the Jets made this offer and Seattle turned it down for such a lower offer. I think basic math often eludes some writers.
If Leonard Williams is traded, how much would his inclusion in a deal for Clowney offset the draft pick cost? Anything? Would HOU even be interested in him?
