I wanted to discuss my bad feeling about our 4:15 slot against the Bills before the game but didn't want to jinx us. Oh well, so much for that. Of our 6 losses 4 have come from a 4-4:15 start. NE, JAX, CLE and <sigh> BUF Of our 7 wins 1 was a 4:15 start MIA Trying to decide if there is any correlation whatsoever, all I can come up with is that Chadwick might be "Over-cerebralizing" before these 4:00 starts--psyching himself out with so much time before the game.
I am amazed as how so many of you want to alibi yesterdays loss away when we were so clearly whipped by a better team then us on that particular day
Losing to another team does not necessarily make the Bills a better team than the Jets. It just means they were the better team that day. Any team can lose on Sunday, and in a parity driven league that point hits home in about what, 4-5 games a week?
No, there is no alibi. We were owned pretty much start to finish. However, it is a lil tough to swallow that we can be so effective one week and so not the next.
To note the facts plain and simple really and to get some feedback on that observation. I hereby publicly dismiss any insinuation on my behalf that our 4:15 play time is an alibi.
That's because, as Chad goes, so goes this team. Chad can "carve you to ribbons," as even the announcer said on TV during the Green Bay game (how often have you ever heard that?). But when he gets into his panic mode (see KC game, September, 2005) his mechanics break WAY down. It's a difficult thing to fix, I think, and a damned shame about this QB, because, when pressured, just about all his skills go out the window. And I don't know how you fix that.
Indeed, that game could be monday, 1p.m sunday...whenever. We got messed up yesterday and the time is not a big factor in why....
The hell with the time excuse man. It doesn't matter what time a game is for NFL players, Thursday night, Saturday night, Thanksgiving, WHATEVER. Anytime the game is played the team should be ready and not put a pathetic performance that we saw yesterday. Lame excuse.
This thread was not intended to offer an excuse for our loss yesterday. I am a fan of the Jets, not a member of the organization whose job it is to excuse losses. I simply wanted to point out the statistics.
you dont find it at least a lil refreshing that amongst all these chads last chance or d'bricks a bust threads theres a trivial look at a statistical correlation between our start time and our L column?
In my case no since it should not have effected how our players player no matter what time the game starts now what day of the week it is played
Its an interesting stat...could it be that when we play weaker teams..we play at 1:00...and the more trendy game of the week type games start later? Against tougher opponents?
