Maccagnan is Fired!

This will be a very well liked post and unexpected.

 

This is an absolute disaster. They got rid of the GM, stability, and the VP for Personnel who made the savvy move with the Colts last year allowing us to draft Darnhold.

Either you are choosing a GM who didn't pick Gase or you are letting Adam Gase -- ADAM GASE !!!!!???!!! -- to run the entire operation after he just STABBED MM in the back,

This is surreal. Makes letting go Walt Michaels after the 1982 AFC CG run look smart.

 

Unreal you let the guy draft players handle free agents and then you fire him ???this should’ve been done before free agency and before the draft the F-ing jets!!!!!

 

Probably a rift between him and gase I’m suspecting

 

It had to be some conflict w/ Gase.

Holy shit, they did it. Now I've been calling for Mac's firing as much as anyone here. I think he was a terrible GM. But to fire him now?! Why the fuck would they fire him now?!

 

Organization seems so incompetent.

What if the new president isn't an Adam Gase guy? Is Gase a one and done?

 

Are you kidding? Mac led the jets to 5-11, 5-11 and 4-12 the last 3 seasons. What do you want, 3-13?

 

I really think this offseason was his last chance to think about offensive line and get/draft some guys to protect Sam. Turns out he did squat on that, save for acquiring a 30 year old guard Oakland wanted to move anyway.

 

And just like that we’ve become the new Bills of the division.

 

If Gase is running the show, that's insanity. I followed him daily at the Dolphins. Go ask Armando Salguero about Adam Gase running the show AND tutoring a young QB.

 

There was absolutely NO WAY Chris Johnson was going to let the Giants be the laughing stock of NY. After drafting Dave Brown Jr, Johnson had to think fast and set the universe right. Well done douche.

 

I figured it out. CJ fired Mac because the Knicks lost the lottery. Only possible explanation.

Another typical Johnson move..make the GM job the least desirable job in the NFL by forcing whomever that person is to have no say in their coach once again.

 

Pretty sure Tannehill played his best ball under Gase. Other then that, what other young QB?

Best jets news in a long time. Don’t care about the timing I just care that this piece of shit GM is gone. The other teams laughing at us just wanted us to continue to wallow in depression and watch Sam get destroyed behind a O line that is basically scraps.

Of course I wish it was done after last season, of course I wish we didn’t allow him to hand out a record breaking contract to a pure run stuffing ILB. But at least the big loser is finally gone.

Let’s all remember his most shining moment where he barely spoke 2 minutes to Quinnen Williams before he drafted him, was late to the combine meeting with him and Didn’t even know Quinnen’s mother had passed, which is something even casual fans would know.

The man was atrocious at his job overall. But he cant hurt us anymore
