    Amazingly after today's disaster, the jets only dropped 1 spot in the playoff race.

    WildCard Race - AFC
    *Bengals 8-5
    *Jaguars 8-5
    NY Jets 7-6
    Chiefs 7-6
    Broncos 7-6

    Remaining schedules for each team.

    Bengals (8-5)
    @Colts
    @Broncos
    Steelers

    Jaguars (8-5)
    @Titans
    Patriots
    @Chiefs

    NY Jets (7-6)
    @Vikings
    @Dolphins
    Raiders

    Chiefs (7-6)
    @Chargers
    @Raiders
    Jaguars

    Broncos (7-6)
    @Cardinals
    Bengals
    49ers

    My outlook:
    Bengals will probably win 2/3 looking at the way they are playing, I'll say they beat Den and Pitt but lose to Indi. 10-6

    Jaguars could possibly lose all their remaining games, especially since they are really bad on the road. I'll give them 1/3 with a win over NE. 9-7

    Jets, for the benefit of the doubt, lets say 10-6.

    Chiefs will beat Jax at home, but I can see them losing to other too on the road with herm at the helm. But I'll say 2/3 over Oak. 9-7

    Broncos will lose to Cinci and probably SF too. 8-8

    In this case, the Bengals and Jets would get in. So lets not lose focus. The goal was 3/4, that goal is still reachable. Today's loss hurts, but it doesn't mean the season is over. Also in this scenario, I believe the Jets would win a 3 way tie over Jax and KC, meaning if they went 9-7 would probably still get in.

    The Jets really must win 3 in a row. MIA scares the shit out of me, but Minn and Oak don't. I think the Jets just own MIA on MNF though.

    It's simple. Jets win 3 in a row.

    Hopefully the media will forget about us now and the team we re-focus.

    Unless we score on defense and/or special teams we will lose to the Raiders. Pennington will go into his retard shell against that defense.

    As far as I'm concerned we've already over achieved this season and the outlook looks good. My biggest concern is that we don't seem to have a QB that can take us to the next level. Who knows if Clemens can be the guy.

    well,the Jets need to win all 3,thats a givin. We CANNOT lose another game,and that Mia game ain't gonna be easy. Hell, the dome next week will be rough,especially if Chester plays.
    As far as who wins those other games....Bengals and Jags both win 2 out their remaining 3. There is no way they don't,look at their opponents. Chiefs only win 1 and end up 8-8 and the Broncos,well,they shoulda left Plummer in.

    Bengals yes, but how do you know for sure that Jax wins 2/3? They have a hell of a schedule.

    The Titans are HOT right now with 4 consecutive wins, and Jax is HORRIBLE on the road.

    NE is still NE. Jax plays much better at home, but this is in no way a guaranteed win for them.

    And KC plays well at home, and again, Jax is horrible on the road.

    I could see Jax finishing 8-8.

    I think there's a better chance of the Broncos winning out and the Jaguars winning 2/3 of their remaining games, than the Jets have of taking wins in Minnesota and Miami.

    I think it's doable, but I said all along this Bills game was a must-win. I'm an optimist but I never saw us winning these last 3 in a row.

    That is what we want to happen.
    Bottom Line... we must win out.

    Lets stick with what Mangini says "Focus at the task on hand."
    And this week:
    1st - Root hard for the Jets.

    Then root for:(in order of what helps the Jets to most)

    Indy over Cin - I really think Indy is going to win this game, their at home and coming off two horrible games. Look for a big offensive game.

    Ten over Jags - Jags are really inconsisant on the road but I think its going to be a tough one for the Titans to win. Hope for Vince Young to run..run..and run because thats their only chance.

    SD over KC - Chiefs are pretty much out of it, we just need them to be in it to beat the Jags in the last week. Chargers should beat the Chiefs.

    Arizona over Den - Don't think Arizona will win but hope for rookie Cutler to make rookie mistakes.

    So the Chiefs can still be "in it" the final week of the season. That way they are motivated enough to beat the Jaguars, who we need to lose.

    Jets fans should not root for the Chiefs to beat the Raiders.

    The Jets can lose to the Vikings next week and still make the playoffs.

    We're guaranteed at least one more loss. Have we even won 3 games in a row all season?

    Problem is, even if we win our final 3, how far can we actually go in the playoffs? I can't see more than two teams that we would have a legitimate shot at beating, in their house nonetheless. Being in the playoffs for a round would be real exciting, but would it really be worth it in the end?

    The Chiefs will be motivated to finish either .500 or with a winning record, depending upon whether they enter the game at 7-8 or 8-7.

    Keep in mind some of the players will be playing for their jobs.

    Also, if the Jaguars can be knocked out of the playoffs with a loss, the Chiefs would be happy to do so.
