Thanks for the realistic and more or less firsthand review. It's not making me feel real good about his chances, but he's been picked so we have to hope for the best.
Thanks. I hope you're right. I would be very happy if he was just a solid, above average starting OT. If he can become All Pro, that would be gravy, but am not gonna hold my breath on that.
He is running for his life with the Jets more than he was at USC....that ought to tell you something. Sam was never hurt at USC either.
True, but he is the top rated pass blocker in the draft (gave up 0 sacks, 4 pressures on 300+ chances). Sometimes them snobby fat chicks can s**k a mean ****!
Yeah but people expect tackle prospect at the end of the 3rd round to be these flawless guys, it just isn't going to happen. Just like with getting Polite earlier in the same round, these guys dont come without risks.
Of course, if you'd like to watch some of Edoga in action, you can look up Darnold 2017 or J.T. Daniels 2018 clips on YouTube. Does seem to have very good feet and lateral quickness.
Thanks. We have had a significant amount of dreadful coaching ourselves, which mercifully will come to an end.
That is so funny, god love him. He also doesn't look the type to "carry his bag of cash" when he gets paid the big one.
On Sirius NFL yesterday evening they had a former GM I believe on the air. I did not catch his name, sorry, but he sounded like an older gentlemen and they talked about his "many years of experience..." This experienced former GM was highly complimentary of this Edoga kid saying that he believes the Jets may have gotten a steal by getting a future starting offensive lineman in the late 3rd round.... ------ HOWEVER- it is possible this guy is losing it and doesn't know what he's talking about anymore, because when talking about the Jets 5th round pick (Blake Cashman) the former GM said that it was a good pick because the Jets had "the worst special teams in the league last year" and really needed a special teams tackler like Cashman. We all know that the special teams were the best in the league! so I will take his comments on Edoga with a grain of salt as well
Any thoughts on Toa Lobendahn? Jets signed him as an UDFA. Looks like he’s played all over the line but might make most sense at C at this level. Obviously he has the connection to Darnold as well.
Actually quite a few analysts and talking heads are saying Cashman was a good pick in the 5th because he will be a great ST contributor for us and could develop into a solid depth piece.
