DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS oh yea we already dropped primo dollars on a RB in FA but forget about that
I hope we bring in Emmanuel butler . Can’t believe we did not bring in a big WR this class was loaded with them. Atleast get a big wr as a project for ps to groom to be a #1 you never know we could get lucky
WTF? Aside from Dortch, who probably has no shot to make the team or if he does, it will be only as a returner, no WR signed. Only 2 OL, one an OT and the other a C. Mac should have signed at least 2-3 centers, and an OG or two. SMH!
Why not target Karan Higdon and Alex Barnes at RB? Barnes has now signed with the Titans. Did you even try to sign him, Mac? Emmanuel Butler, Stanley Morgan, Anthony Johnson, David Sills, and Jakobi Meyers good WR prospects. Why not any of these guys, Mac? Dax Raymond and Donald Parham at TE. How about them, Mac? How about Nate Herbig and Garrett Brumfield at OG. You let the latter sign with the Steelers. Where were you, Mac, out trying to sign more DTs? What about Olive Sagopolu of Wisconsin or Albert Huggins of Clemson, Mac? You signed a bunch of stiffs at DT that did nothing in 3 years of college. What's wrong with these two guys at DT? There were 37 UDFA CBs. How about them, Mac?
Dortch looks good on highlights, could be a returner hopefully and who knows maybe more. Jalin Moore is pretty talented The rest is pretty upsetting based on what was out there. 4 DT’s is a joke lol. Like really fuck you mac
I just don’t for the life of me get why he thinks we are good with the current state of the offensive line and somehow we’re always worrying constantly drafting interior defensive guys. There’s so much tape of Darnold running for his life and Mac only thinks we need to make 1 change per year at the offensive line.
I was just thinking the same thing and was going to point that out when I read your comment. Seriously! They really do seem to think that "defense wins championships" in an era of offensive football sanctioned and expanded upon by the NFL. Pathetic!
The vast majority of our offseason was spent on offense. We traded for Osemele, Signed Crowder and Bell to big contracts, and had resigned Q before the season ended. We addressed a lot on offense outside of the gapping fucking hole at center. Most of these guys are camp bodies that may have special teams value at the end of the day. Mac's done a terrible job over all but UDFA signings are the least of our problems.
Don't forget all these undrafted guys became free agents and many were pursued by multiple teams. Mac probably didn't get every UDFA he went after. He got MAYBE half.
No, UDFA is not the big problem, but just a continuation of the problem that Mac seems to not care about offense at all. So he signed a RB and WR in FA. Big whoop! How many of the FAs that he has signed over his 5 years have been on offense and how many on defense? How many of his draft picks have been spent on offense? He just needs to go.
Apparently we have signed 4 more UDFA, including a LT Tyler Jones from North Carolina State. Anyone seen him play? https://www.sny.tv/jets/news/jets-u...r-gang-green-adds-four-more-players/306653834
Sorry, I never saw NC State play this year. I saw them a couple of times last year, but remember nothing about those games.
Never saw him play but he was labeled one of the best offensive linemen available after the draft from SB Nation. He projects to be a guard though.
Defense wins championships? But how many points are they getting us ? that's the real question..! We are not even coming close to the Playoffs if you think we are winning every game 10-6?? ....those days are over 74 We got a Superstar RB after 8 years of loading up on the wrong side of the ball
Yes UFA are big afterthoughts in general ...but the push on Off took 8 years to really accomplish...5 of them with Mac Recently tThe owners put him on hot seat imo ..but other than the 3 you mentioned and Q what has he done over the larger sample of 5 years? I guess he has a learning curve at our expense lol smh
