Chris Johnson is feeling no pain, and if he is he can afford to fix it ten times over. He’s the least deserving of anyone’s pity here. If he doesn’t like what he sees he can make changes. Fans and to a lesser (or actually greater) extent players get screwed over by leadership incompetence. We lose out on the ability to enjoy a winner, and they lose out on bonuses, endorsements, etc because they’re on a crappy team. Fuck Chris and Woody Johnson with a rusty screwdriver.
For the record I'm not buying into the Gase power play BS. First of all Lombardi has very little if any credibility with the NY crowd. So most of it is exaggerated or pre fabricated. Second, Gase is not looking for GM power, he might be head strong and passionate when it comes to football, and why not? He wants to win and he knows he needs talent to succeed. He wants Sam to have sufficient horses to reach his potential sooner than later. He struggled to pull a small rabbit out of the hat in Miami with a completely dysfunctional team with mediocre talent and he isn't standing for that shit again. So if Gase was bullish about a better C in free agency why not? That is the QB first line of defense. Mac need to think beyond academic $$ values and listen to Gase when it comes to beefing up a critical position. My too cents.
Don't forget about Leo. He was the best player in his draft too. That's 4 out of 5. The Jets must be challenging for Lombardi trophies with all these great picks.

Adam Gase hasnt proven anything in this league....He doesnt have the right to tell the GM anything as far as im concerend.
The results of those drafts and his FA signings speak for themselves. His only 2 2018 Pro Bowlers he let walk neither one of which he drafted. Jamal Adams, SamD, Robbie and Leo so far are just about all he has to hang his hat on.
Three of which he was extremely lucky fell to him. Outside of getting solid 1st round picks literally dropped into his lap by the teams ahead of him, Mac has done next to nothing of note in the draft. He just looks better by comparison to his predecessor as he hasn't yet whiffed on an entire draft like Idzik did.
Huh? Macc couldn't hit on a draft pick if it fell on him. He was forced to trade up to get Darnold. If he didn't do that we would have a new GM by now. Every other pick has been so-so.
