Second team all-conference RT in a very weak Pac-12. Obviously knows Darnold very well. Highest drafted offensive lineman since Mangold and Ferguson?
Chuma actually scares me a lot more in terms of bust potential than Polite. Motor/focus issues are a potential death knell to me, while being defensive, closed off, and curt are more common hurdles that can be cleared. Regardless, I hope Chuma can remain motivated because some services had him graded very high in pass pro.
Oh God, you just reminded me that he isn't the highest-drafted offensive lineman since Mangold and Ferguson.
Well.... I'm rooting for you Chuma! Maybe he'll develop into our best drafted offensive lineman since Mangold and Ferguson.
Where on our line is he expected to play? Will he see the field this year? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
T-1. CHUMA EDOGA, USC Chuma Edoga, an athletic freak and USC’s primary right tackle for each of the past two seasons, allowed just four hurries across 304 pass-blocking snaps in 2018. With no sacks or hits allowed tied to his name, the 6-foot-3, 308-pound Edoga ranked tied for first in PFF’s pass-blocking efficiency (99.3).
He seems genuinely happy and excited on twitter. He fits a need and wasn’t a reach. I’m good with this one
Both of our third round picks seem like they are boom bust picks with plenty of upside. Great senior bowl followed by a poor performance at the combine. Fingers crossed on this one.
Not overly optimistic about this pick. I am glad we went online and thought high enough of this kid to move up a spot to get him just not sure our thinking was right. I
