Can you believe that this season will come down to the Jets needing Herm Edwards to win the last game of the season in order to make the playoffs?

If the Jets win outright, they will need Jacksonvilee to love two out of three. They may lose to New England but they will win next week and then come down to the last weekend of the season when they play KC who will already be out of it.

It is such a sin that we could have controled our destiny but instead Chadwick went into the tank again for the 4th time this season.

I hate depending on other teams so much to make the playoffs but whatever gets you in. I'll root for Herm if it means we benefit.

The Jets can still go 9-7 and make the playoffs. If they lose to Minnesota and then win out, and Cincinnati and Jacksonville each lose two out of three (any two of their remaining games), the Jets will make the playoffs. I actually don't think this is absurd. Cincinnati and Jacksonville have difficult games to play.

This is providing that PIT, DEN, TEN, BUF, and MIA are all 8-8 or worse. Well, maybe some of them can be 9-7- I didn't figure out scenarios for 4-way, 5-way, 6-way ties.

Well I think Miami could be tied with us at 9-7, because we would've beaten them twice we would win the tiebreaker. but they're not going 9-7. There is a pretty good chance they lose to Buff. next week or Indy because the Colts are going to get serious soon and start playing football.

Denver might be in a death spiral, they're playing a pumped up cardinals team next week who just beat Seattle. I just hope Denver has enough left to beat up Cincy on the Christmas eve.

I don't think a Herm team would be up for for beating Jacksonville if they're out of it. they'd be too deflated by then and the chance of knocking someone else out wouldn't be enough motivation.
