I think you know the answer to those questions... Their pitching should get better (I hope). Their manager? Not so much ...
Wow, I didn't think any manager was stupid enough nowadays to publicly cling to the "no more than three outs for the closer and only in save situations" mantra when it has been so thoroughly demonstrated to be pure, utter, nonsense. The Mets are screwed - if he stays they probably can't win, and he won't go unless they lose enough that they definitely can't win. Funny how even when the team was 11-2 last year it was obvious that he didn't know what he was doing, and he hasn't gotten even slightly better. Very Todd Bowles-like.
And just to show that this isn't hindsight, here are two posts from April 15, 2018, a game in which the Mets raised their record to 12-2. Even with that record it was obvious that Callaway didn't have a clue, and it hasn't gotten any better.

Chris Sale signs an extension early, and is awful. Jacob deGrom signs an extension early, and he gets hurt. The craze of signing players early so they don't become free agents may end as soon as it starts, at least for pitchers.
Rosario just isn't a major league shortstop - why the hell not? It's not like he's been bad before this year, but 2015-2016 2.89 ERA, 1.103 WHIP, 10.4 K/9IP, 2016-2019 (not this start) 3.32 ERA, 1.179 WHIP, 9.4 K/9IP. He's gone from a #1 starter to a #2 starter, and that's not the direction you're looking for. And this year he's just been bad (6.00 ERA, 1.296 WHIP)
