say hello to your new favorite back up QB/ practice squad player...... .... championship! https://m.mysanantonio.com/news/edu...mer-AAF-Troy-quarterback-Brandon-13757984.php He took it to overtime baby, first ever, greatest ever overtime AAF qb. We got this one on lock boyz
News so big, it's even being reported by the smallest and least sports-worthy publication in San Antonio.
2 years ago this time there would have been a highlight video up already. Some of us would have settled into the camps of "he's a practice squad arm for the 37 wr also picked up off the street" or "he's rough around the edges but just wait a couple of seasons and he'll be slinging the ball because did you see that arm he has!". Between Silvers, Siemian, and Webb the "rough around the edge crowd" would be up in arms as to which one of them had been slept on and was about to be the new anointed one. How nice it is to be on the other side of the QB search tracks and not have to delude ourselves about how good our recent scrap heap backup QB's are.
Delusion. For whatever reason it made me think about how being a Jets fan is akin to cheering for a sinking ship.
We're on the same wavelength then and it's nice to not have to worry about finding QB's anymore. In the back of my mind I'm still wondering if any of them has anything; old habits die hard.
