I of course picked it for the multi angled humor that it is. It' too typical to pick a stars name or put team name in s teen name. I would have taken BrowningNagle, if someone hadn't already. I'm a fan of the unsung and middle range QBs. Especially when it comes to looking at old football cards...flipping through cards and saying- who the hell was that?
Based on nothing but text on a screen. That in itself tells you absolutely nothing about a person and is easily misinterpreted.
The hype says that the QB position is all locked up. It's not. No sir. I refuse to believe it. At least they've locked up a viable backup. They are going to need him.
We aren’t engaging with a person only a poster in a message board and as a poster on this board you are an ass and pretty much useless to any meaningful football conversation.
So the question is, why do you refuse to believe it? Is it something you see and would like to share with us or is it jet fan PTSD?
I say you might be 25 and have a low average IQ, but know how to compose a few zinger comments ...heheheheh Actually I find your banter fairly entertaining ..(.NOT when you are bashing SD) But you need to reign it son , you are walking a tightrope here Back to business...I can't fathom why this Post even exists
Yeah I don't know why people would be down on this kid. I do believe that Sam's arrow is pointing up. For the 2018 season his average Total QBR was 48.4 which put him at 28th overall in terms of QBR on the season. The final 4 games of the year his total QBR was well over that average. Week 14 73.8 Ranked 7th Week 15 86.8 Ranked 5th Week 16 80.2 Ranked 18th Week 17 73.6 Ranked 13th That's an average of 78.6 over the last four weeks after he returned from the foot sprain with a weekly average ranking of 10.75. I know that total QBR does not tell the entire story but he did also improve his TD to INT numbers. He had 6 TD's to one INT in those last four games. Consider the fact that he had 11 TD's to 14 INT's in his first 9 games of the season. That shows massive improvement on his part. His O-line was suspect at best and lets be honest he did not have the best receivers/RB's when he was out there at the age of 21. That is why I am a fan of Sam Darnold and have a ton of hope that this kid will lead the Jets to a bigger a brighter future.
Even with posts like this, you will not win the Darksider award at the end of the season. It probably won't even win the shittest post of the year either, unfortunately.
The problem with using Total QBR in an argument is that ESPN has never actually shared their full formula for calculating it, and many times it contradicts actual statistics. The funny thing is, they have put out a number of articles stating "here's how we calculate Total QBR" and then they double talk and use obscure terms and don't actually explain it. Multiple times Total QBR is total ESPN douchebaggery at work and should never be used to support any argument that isn't about proving ESPN douchebaggery.
Last year gave me the confidence that if the Jets continue to surround him with talent, the Jets will have at the very least a league average QB. I think I saw enough ridiculous throws last year to think he'll be a pretty damn good player. Just continue surrounding him with players.
Can't answer this yet without more data. He hasn't even played a 16 game season yet. He showed promise extending plays with his feet and is pretty accurate throwing the ball deep. With that being said, some of his INT's were insanely bad. Based purely on his last years performance behind a crappy OLINE (which we haven't addressed with the exception of 1 guy in FA) he shows promise. With the additions of Bell and Crowder along with Anderson and Inunwa, he has all the tools around him to be very successful.....lets see.
