New/updated uniforms (Poll Added)

I WONDER WHAT THAT STUPID LITTLE ROUND GREEN STICKER THEY PUT ON THE BACK OF THE HELMETS THAT HAVE HEAD SETS WILL BLEND IN WITH THE GREEN HELMET. I BELIEVE IT IS A BIT LIGHTER SHADE OF GREEN...

Not actually sure how much say Gase has on the unis. Jets can only wear the alternate blacks 3 times this season. Given they're new, I assume they'll use all 3 spots. Typically jets will be forced to wear white when away since home teams choose their unis and typically choose the solid home uniforms. That leaves about 5-6 slots to choose what to do at home. A lot of the times the marketing team plans a day "green out" or "white out" around twice a year. Very possible it could be more driven by the marketing team than the coach. I'm sure overall though, you'd be right.

 

Still better than what those overpaid fuckwits came up with.

THE NEW UNIFORMS & HELMET ARE VERY DIFFERENT FROM EAGLES. OUR COLORS ARE DEEP GLOSSY GREEN & EAGLES ARE A DULL PUTRID BLUE. (Compare the 2 helmets below)

 

Like you, the uniforms are growing on me every time I see them. Sure, there are a couple of things I would've preferred (I think a green facemask or even a white one would've looked better and I would probably have preferred the helmet logo to be just text, without the football underneath) but these are minor gripes that seem less important every time I see the new unit. I am keen to see what they look like on gameday, but at the moment I am getting dangerously close to loving the new look.

 

I've seen this a lot and I just don't get it. The jet is flying backwards. It is the opposite of dynamic.

 

Don't overthink it.

On the other side...the jet is flying forward.

And just think how much better that jet swoosh would look on the rest of the uniform...

In place of those fugly fairy wings.

 

I'm happy with these. The green on the helmet is a great colour. I think they've done a good job. I might have changed the colour on the numbers. So the green jersey has black numbers with a white trim, the black jersey had green numbers with a white trim, the white jersey I'd keep as is.

All to follow the medieval Rule of Tincture, of course.

 

Agree totally. I really like the unis and colors. I'm not as keen on the logo, but I don't hate it like I did at first. The helmets would be better just with Jets and maybe the swoosh design element on.

 

Blah blah blah blah. Rinse and repeat. Washington??? The Redskins have the worst stadium the worst owner and the fans hate the team. It’s never sold out and the don’t have a QB. That’s who you want us to be. Why don’t you take a break from football for a little while to clear your head

I see that someone else has already pointed out that on the other side of the helmet the jet is flying forward. OTOH one has to admit that a jet flying backwards is perhaps a more apt symbol for the Jets. LOL

 

Who said anything about the helmets? Did you read the word "Helmet" in my posts you quoted?

 

But wouldn't that effectively be two jets in a holding pattern, endlessly circling and going nowhere?
