I like both these depth signings. Copeland impressed me as a rotational player and contributes well on specials. Smart high character guy with a good motor. That never hurts. Sterling I think if he ever stays healthy is actually a pretty good receiving option. Doesn't offer much in the way of blocking, and can never seem to stay healthy. But still worth another flier. I like him better than Leggett.
That's exactly how I see it unless someone steps up enough to warrant keeping 4. May end up drafting one also, in which case keeping 4 becomes more likely.
Anyone know numbers? I do like the signing, though. He's better than serviceable. I read a nice write-up on him the other day. I can't recall now if he majored in business or mathematics, but needless to say the guy is no slouch. He's making life after football decisions now which is incredibly smart. He runs a real estate business with his wife and he has also interned with several corporations on Wall Street. There are so many players that do not go this route (heh) and they pay for it when they have no back up plan if they 1) get injured out of the game or 2) submarine their own career. Hear that Robby Anderson question? Watch your ass, because that could be you. Sterling, I would probably retire voluntarily and not risk another concussion, but we'll see what happens I guess.
For everyone that wanted us to get Fowler to start, Brandon Copeland but up better numbers with less snaps. I love the Copeland re-signing
