Counting on getting one of the three Cs who could potentially start and play decently their rookie season and having to get one of them in the draft is stupid. I don’t think we know the full story on several levels. We don’t know if Paradis is truly healthy . We don’t know what Morse was asking - we do know the Bills overpaid him by a lot. We also don’t know Paradis’s true intentions . I don’t think he ever wanted to sign with the Jets ..... Let them get a truecenter in the draft . The o LT bad thing is if they don’t trade down they may have to trade up .... In my opinion they were both OK but not worth breaking the bank over .
We need: 1. A Center 2. Nickel corner 3. #2 corner 4. A pass rusher 5. Kicker, returner, and a blocking TE. We have a lot of work left. The OL really worries me. The three pick is our oppurtunity to get an edge rusher but the gaping whole at center, finding a long term replacements for Winters and Beachum is most concerning.
And that's what we should trade down. Last year the colts did with us, and that worked out pretty good.
I agree about the trading down. But the catch is it is really really hard to find an edge rusher and if Allen is available at 3 it is hard to say no. One scenario would be trading with the raiders. Getting a 2 and taking Allen. Assuming the Raiders want a QB and are afraid a team like the giants or Broncos will jump ahead of them.
Hopefully I'll be fine either way. Staying put we fill another huge need likely, going down, we improve our depth. Hard to be upset right now..
If Allen or Bosa are on the board there is no way I am trading down. If neither are available we get a kings ransom for the 3 for a team who loves kyler or Haskins I would love for us to address CB or more OL today.
That really scares me. There was a huge drop off from Skrene to Nickerson last year almost as big as the difference between. Hopefully, Nickerson can improve. He had a great camp until he got injured. Playing corner is hard enough for a rookie but losing time in pre season makes it so much harder. I hope we see some progress but it would be nice to have a plan B.
Now we really have to draft j. allen.......between adams, bell, and allen the smack talk will be real heavy. sprinkle in some g. williams and its pure gold.
