If Bell won't take our money drafting a RB with probably one of our third round picks becomes almost a must doesn't it?

I suppose if we take a guy there and he turns out to be something close to Chubb or Sony Michel from this past season maybe in the long run Bell would do us a big favor by dissing our checkbook. I still kind of hope he doesn't though.... I'm starting to get suckered into the idea that the Jets could potentially do some serious damage this season and getting him obviously would help "right now" assuming he's into it.

 

My dept head would appreciator greatly if bell would sign already and I can go back to be semi productive

Dammit Connor when is the deadline?

 

I'll believe it when I see it, my head hurts from all this speculation. One guy says this, one guys says the opposite, then another guy comes in and says haha you're both wrong. Although, Connor Hughes is generally pretty good with his sources.

 

Why impose a deadline? You have a ton of money to negotiate with. That's stupid. We're gonna play this foolishly and cost ourselves a star.

 

I hope this is true, as this is exactly how the Jets should play it.

If we are giving the best offer and he's just seeing how he can leverage that.....than we need to pull the offer.

Time for Bell to put up or shut up. I have no doubt that the Jets have the highest offer, but is nowhere near where Bell thought he would be when he sat out last year. If he wants to try to play these games to get more money from other teams, then move on from him and don't look back.

 

Because if we don't get Bell we need to target other FAs before they're gone.

 

The only thing I can imagine stopping us from getting him is the fear of his commitment to actually play with enthusiasm.

If we miss out on him, they better have Coleman on the dial.

 

Not feeling too confident on Bell anymore but if we clearly beat the Raiders offer I think we'll get him. Hearing Ingram to Ravens would help to take away an appealing option for Leveon.

They missed out on all the other OLB's while Barr got Cold feet. The Jets can't wait around forever for your man crush Bell.

 

Irregardless of Bell we need to do this.

 

Yeah, let this douche use the Jets for leverage for the entire FA negotiation period while the FA RB market dries up, then when he inevitably and predictably chooses less money to go to another team, leave yourself with zero fallback options.
