Just repeat this to yourself..."Running backs aren't as valuable as other positions...running backs aren't as valuable as other positions..."

I'm sure the best thing for a young, developing QB is a starting running back that ranks close to dead last in yard after contact. That's the key, you want a bad running game to force the QB to carry the offense.

Stupid, desperate teams pay record breaking contracts to players that forced their way out of their previous teams while riding Jet skis and partying publicly in Miami.

I commend you on being okay with stupid and desperate.

He would rank near the bottom. That isn't his game.

He is a game breaking speed back with great receiving skills. The price is right and he fits really well with what we need.

Expecting him to break a bunch of tackles isn't really fair. He doesn't do it well.

"Forced their way out" is incorrect. He knew his value and he's aware of what sport he plays and how quickly it can all go away. The Steelers wants to fuck around with his money, he said no. There's a big difference.

I commend you on being OK with bending the truth.

So who exactly is going to be breaking tackles? Powell is 30 and coming off major neck surgery, McGuire isn't good, Cannon is a feather. All we would be doing is replacing Powell by signing Coleman, we still would need the Chris Ivory.

Ooooo me next. I commend you for being cool the entire offseason. I am not trying to be a douche. I just really like Coleman. I would be ok with Bell too.

Your arguments have all been well written and backed up.

He stopped showing up to his job until they fired him. There's no other way to describe the situation.

Unless you are stupid and desperate.

I like Coleman a lot too. Just not for this team. That would change if we were able to draft a younger, more-reliable runner but there's no guarantee of anything in the draft.

There are quite a few other ways to describe the situation, like the correct way. But you're not interested.

Why would the Jets smokescreen this? There are a number of teams looking for a RB and there are only 3-4 decent options. Coleman is going to get paid, whether the Jets think he is overrated or not. Hopefully someone else overpays him.

All you did earlier was provide a rationalization as to WHY he forced his way out. You did not provide an actual argument to the contrary.

    Glad you agree.

Same reason they sent out the message from a "source" that they are on the fence with Bell. They don't want to be used to drive up the prices. They also don't want to seem desperate. Just my guess.
