Raiders have the worst offensive line coach in football in Tom Cable. If hes healthy it's definitely an upgrade on that line.
I agree. I'll be surprised if Saffold leaves the Rams. Why would he unless he doesn't care about winning and just wants a big check, and if that's the case, I wouldn't want him anyway? He has a chance to be back in the SB next year. Besides, he didn't do squat in the SB. He allowed pressure and got no push at all in the rushing game (can't call it an attack because it was weak and futile).
I watch NFL football and just happen to be a Bills fan. This is such a weak and old timers type response. I watch NFL football.......I know what I’m looking at.......I don’t blindly watch the Bills and nobody else. I live in Westchester NY(Jets & Giants country)and have friends that are Jets season ticket holders.......I probably know more about your team than you do smh
The first sign of somebody having no idea what they aren’t looking at is them telling you they know more than you. Aren’t you the same guy who said no numbers matter when discussing Josh Allen but couldn’t provide anything other than an opinion when asked why? Forgive me for thinking you’re nothing more than a troll.
Pros: Fills a need Better than Long/Carpenter (though that's not saying much) Didn't lose a draft pick We would have probably paid Saffold more or would have overpaid a worse talent in FA No guaranteed money Cons: Wasn't great last year so production is a bit of a question mark Contract is a tad bit high for his production especially last year Not a long term solution Seems like a win to me. I would have preferred Saffold, but its not realistic to expect they will go out and get the top player at each position in FA. We need to have some question marks answered and this filled one of them. Great start to the offseason by Mac and he is probably one of the best GMs at doing this. Now he needs to have a successful free agency.
I am not worried about that. I am not sure the trade will even go through. Sometimes analysts report deals that are going to happen and then they don't actually happen. I can't think of any recent examples, but you get it!
So wait. We got a massive mauling starting guard for a 5th round pick and got back a 6th rounder? Unless you’re a Bills fan you cannot complain about this trade. What a great deal.
Anyone who doesn't like this is just a darksider... he can be cut next season with no cap ramifications. This is a low risk high reward signing.
He made pro bowl in 16 & '17. 18 he played with toe & knee injury. One down year of mediocre play doesn't mean the guy is on decline.
Woah! Easy! Saying stuff like that could be taken as acknowledgement of a job well done by Mac, and we can have none of that. We're a narrative enforcing group around here remember lol.
Yes. But we now a 6th rounder.* Plus two 3rd rounders because of the Bridgewater trade. And the reason we don't have a 2nd rounder is Darnold, so I'm not going to complain. *Edited for accuracy.
