Early in the off-season he showed he's down to around 297, which is 33lbs less then his playing weight last year.
PFF ranked him #61 out of #77 linemen in the NFL........dude has been on the decline the past 2 seasons lol
He basically tweeted 2019 was about his health and wellness. Don't want to see him lose anymore weight though. For a guard, he looked pretty diesel now, loves his nasty streak though. With the weight loss, should help his mobility. Great pickup if healthy.
He made the pro Bowl in 2017. This is a good pickup. The Jets desperately needed an upgrade at guard.
One of the better guards in football.Despite what the self promoting stat line scouts at PFF think. If hes healthy its good move. One less need in UFA/draft
The Jets have a trade in place with the Raiders to acquire guard Kelechi Osemele, SNY's Ralph Vacchiano confirmed. According to the Oakland Tribune, the Jets are sending a fifth-round pick to the Raiders for Osemele, with the Jets getting the Raiders' sixth-round pick (through the Chicago Bears). While the trade cannot be officially processed until Wednesday, there is an agreement in place. The 29-year-old Osemele is entering the fourth year of a five-year deal he signed in 2016. He is owed $10.2 million this coming season and $11.7 million in 2020. Osemele, who played the first four years of his career with the Ravens, was a Pro-Bowler and first team All-Pro in 2016, and was a Pro-Bowler in 2017. He played in 11 games for the Raiders this past season. The Jets entered the offseason with roughly $92 million in cap space, so they will still have plenty left to go around after the trade for Osemele becomes official. Vacchiano noted in his recent 7-round Mock Draft that the Jets planned to go after a center and guard via free agency. A source recently told Vacchiano that the Jets were likely to have interst in G Roger Saffold of the Rams, who Vacchiano notes they presumably they won't pursue now. According to Vacchiano, the Jets will likely pursue a center in free agency, with Matt Paradis of Denver the top choice. Paradis has a history with Adam Gase, from when Gase was in Denver.
What the heck is ehhh. They’re getting a Pro Bowl player for practically nothing. What did you want the Jets getting the player and the pick?
Great move and start to FA. Probably doesn’t hurt either when you’re about to make your pitch to a premier RB.
It’s fine for everyone but one person. The guy saying eh is the most ridiculous opinion I’ve read on here since joining.
You gotta calm down a bit. Take your blood pressure medication. “Eh” is uncertainty, not death doom and destruction. You’re so worked up you missed every other post where I said I liked the trade. You joined in 05 and this is the most ridiculous opinion? Very dramatic. And seeing as how he was getting cut, it’s impressive that the Raiders found. Way to move up into the 5th round.
I do not know a lot about this guy----but I know a lot about MAC . Let me add that Brook would be an upgrade over Carpenter so does anyone know about this Raider ? Has he sucked the past 2 years due to scheme or losing the guy next to him or his coach ? Is he worth the money as I could care less about a 5th or 6th round pick ? Can this guy play or does this wreak of our incompetent GM not being able to see talent and once again trying to piece meal our O line together and taking a chance / and overpaying money wise on a guy who aint worth it ? So help me out as I said I don't know a lot about this guy but yep I know our GM all too well
