Our receivers don’t scare anyone right now, but it’ll get worse if we lose Anderson.

Not sure how letting Robbie walk for a 2nd rounder is making this team better, considering our 2nd round luck.

no need for a 1st round tender. We get to match any offer a team makes before receiving a 2nd round pick.

Yeah I get that but unless they are on the fence about keeping him then why not go for a 1st round tender for a million dollars more?

I like Robby and think he has some chemistry with Darnold but the off the field stuff and the fact that he is rail thin worries me.

I think it also depends whos 2nd rounder are we getting. Are we getting a top 5 second rounder or would we be picking late in the second? Does Mac want to gamble on the fact that this FA class is weak at receiver and might have to address this need in the draft? Mac also is good with late round trades, perhaps there’s a disgruntled receiver out there that wants out of his team. I can think of a few players that fit that description :)

I think this is a mistake. we could end up with a low second round pick from the Pats or Saints

I could care less because irregardless of what happens this unpresidented tender is all mute.

If Iggles offered 1st and Mac balked at the deal, he should have been fired at that spot.

    He's as good as gone.

    :(

    Coles part II.

Oh well at least we still have IR Enunwa.

And the hits just keep on coming.

Except Coles was already established and good. Anderson isn’t, and leaves quite a bit to be desired off the field.

Very dramatic people here. If he gets signed to a big deal we don’t want to match, we get a pick. And any team that offers him a big deal PLUS gives up a pick is not smart.

If we get a second round for him I'll be happy as hell. He's a decent receiver but by no means a great one. I think a bunch of fans are over valuing a guy who is very good at one thing and at best decent at the rest of the game.

Robby is faster than Coles was. I think he has more upside.

Nothing these incompetents are saying or doing makes any sense.

So here we have a player that was a undrafted free agent he's worked his way up to a NFL starter, one of the top deep threats in the game, one of the fastest WRs the Jets have ever had and they're willing to risk losing him?

Yet Leo with his hidden production, off a miserable 2018 season is worth $14.2 million. IR Enunwa is worth extending.

The Jets have plenty of Cap space to match an offer for Anderson, but a 2nd Round pick would be pretty good for an UDFA. It seemed like Robby and Sam were developing a nice chemistry towards the end of the year though, so I would like to see how they grow together in 2019.

Robby Anderson is an interesting player contract-wise. He has off the field troubles, occasionally disappears on the field, but also has the potential to be a really good WR, especially with a QB like Darnold. If someone told me he will lead the league in receiving yards in 2019, I would not be shocked. If someone told me he would be benched and relegated to the #4 WR, I also would not be shocked. That makes it tough to offer Robby a multi-year deal.

Coles was an outstanding complete receiver. He really could do anything. Agile, tough, great hands, tough to bring down. Great route runner and not a psycho headcase like Robby. Robby does not have Coles upside. There is no way Robby is ever having 82, 89, 90, and 91 catch seasons. That is great production. People are starting to forget how good Coles was

    I know Robby.

Robby was a friend of mine.

Robby Anderson is no Lavernious Coles.

So not only do you not watch football now, you never saw Coles play.

Btw, don’t know why you hate Lav, but he never had a signature haircut.

I know other people have already said it but I need to reiterate how absurd your comparison is. Coles was a far more talented receiver in every area other than speed. I wish Anderson had an ounce of the toughness that Coles brought on every snap.
