With all the $$$billions generated by NFL/TV Networks/DirecTV they can't afford enough HD equipment for all the games?? Simply pathetic, especially after charging me so much money for all these NFL and HD packages!

 

It really is pathetic. Maybe it's just them saying F U to the FCC for the all digital demand.

 

It has nothing to do with respect. LOL.

 

It is a pain in the asscrack, we get Fish/Pats in HD, but no HD for the HOME TEAM?

it doesn't annoy me because i don't have high def tv but you can't blame CBS for picking the other game for high def.. that is the more high profile game

 

You can't blame CBS? The Jets are the only team in the NFL that gets screwed over with HD. The people without HD tv's cannot understand why we are pissed. Interlaced signals look TERRIBLE on HD TV's especially the bigger they are and especially sports.

There is no excuse for this BS...

CBS feels that Pats vs Miami is a bigger game and thats a lack of respect

 

It is a bigger game. No one cares about the Bills. Pats/Dolphins is a more popular rivalry with two big fanbases.

 

wrong, Patriots have a small fan base and are 4th in New England sports, Miami can't even sell out playoff games. Both are in the bottom 3rd in the NFL in fan bases. Patriots used to draw 10,000 before Parcells showed up. You haven't been following football for very long and it shows.

 

DirecTV takes CBS and FOX feeds. CBS/Fox Decide what goes in HD.

You're kidding me right? They're both tremendous bandwagon fanbases. Bandwagon fanbases draw great national ratings. No one has cared about the Bills since the early '90s and the Jets are just starting to re-enter mainstream consciousness.

 

The Jets are always mainstream, they're NY. The Patriots are still behind the Bruins in terms of the sports pecking order in NE, NE is not a football hungry territory...and they have no national following like Dallas, Oakland, or Pittsburgh.

The patriots are like the Devils, it doesn't matter how much they win, nobody will care about them.

 

Either way allan, we know the real reason the Jets aren't in HD is the fact that the NFL blackballed them after the '69 Super Bowl
