Lol I'm serious. One of my mom's friends offered me her vape thing, and I don't ever smoke, but I was drinking so I said fuck it I'll have a little, only it was thc instead of whatever flavor I thought she was using. Makes me feel old, and dumb since I was a stoner for 10 years. Guess I'm not hip anymore.
Episode 8 is not only the worst of the Star Wars movies, it may be the worst movie I have ever seen, ranking up there with Godfather 3, The Matrix Revolutions, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I have never seen a movie so dedicated to destroying the entire storyline that was established in it's predecessor (Episode 7), as well as destroying the fabric of beloved characters (That was NOT Luke Skywalker in any way, shape or form!)
Matrix 2 and 3 destroyed the fabric of the original Matrix. I'm trying to purge them from my memory--notwithstanding some really cool special effects and fight scenes.
Don't get me wrong - The Matrix 2 was VERY bad, but at least at the end, I was somewhat curious as to how they were ultimately going to resolve the plot. The Matrix 3 was simply one of the worst movies I ever saw in my life. What they did to the Morpheus character, who was revered as GODLIKE in the first movie, was absolutely atrocious.
And the way that they're just making ANOTHER Toy Story is so frustrating! Wait we're done talking about Star Wars now right?
The prequels are a great story atrociously told. The sequels are awful stories told terribly. Disney wins again!
So....I saw Solo last night. Had heard it was awful. Gotta be honest, I didn't hate it. Maybe some of the Easter Eggs were a bit forced but it WAS a prequel so they made sense. Kind of a bit too corny but it was watchable and didn't suck like the shitty movies other than the original 3.
I only made it through 30 minutes before deciding I’d rather hear the guy snore in the seat beside me on my flight than continue to endure it.
Most people liked it but I’m not sure there is an overwhelming sentiment that it’s fantastic. It’s good, but forgettable, which is likely why nobody has brought it up. It’s sitting alone in a middle ground between the great originals and the awful to go fuck your self Disney prequels and sequels which have consumed our memory.
I think Rogue One was good. I just remember not caring that much at all and then moving on instantly when it was over like @JetBlue said. Similar situation with Solo, except Solo kept getting worse while I was watching, which made me care even less. I feel like I am pretty fair with Star Wars movies. I dislike Return of the Jedi more than others and I like Attack of the Clones more than others. I don't care as much as some fans, so that is probably why I was fine with The Last Jedi. I did not love it, but I did not hate it.
I'm also pretty bias as Rogue One was the first one I saw in theatre. Plus I had been hyped up about how awesome Vader was in a part. We're getting to a point where I need to watch all of them all over again to have a better opinion. I'm not one of those people that's seen them all 200 times.
When I was watching Rogue One, and they decided to proceed with the mission, I said to myself "The only way this will work for me is that EVERYONE dies" Damn, that was a good movie.
Rogue One is one of the main reasons I voted the sequels over the prequels, even though it's not technically a sequel. I enjoyed it much more than episode 7.
