    This really would help with my off-season game plan. We could go from 0 pass rushers to obtaining 2 (and having them fit on the DL) and this defense would really be formidable.

    I am all for this hire. The Jets need someone like this to kick them in the ass so that the defense starts kicking ass. Hopefully this year they don't blow late leads and start winning those games. The packers, texans and titans games are at least three that come to mind this past year of defensive break downs late in the game.

    Dude, I’m so pumped for the jets defense if we get this guy. I love the 4-3 and I feel Leo will be a monster in this defense.

    yards per game is a pretty useless stat

    "Nine times during Williams' 20 seasons, his defense has ranked in the top nine in DVOA. He also has six DVOA finishes of 24th or worse, but none since 2011 with the Saints (28th). From 2014-16 with the Rams, Williams' defense finished ninth, seventh, and sixth in DVOA.

    The Jets ranked 21st, 18th, and 21st in defensive DVOA in Bowles' final three seasons, 2016-18."
