I fell asleep early, woke up from a stupor, went to walk my dog in my PJs, put on NFLN when I got back, and saw that Gase has been hired. I couldn't get out curse words fast enough because the chunks rose faster than the speed of sound and blocked the passage/exit route.

Did this really happen? Getting off at 'A Stop Called Willoughby' sounds like a mighty enticing idea right about now. This fckn team, I can't take it. HAHAHAHAHAHA, I hate the Jets.

    EDIT: It's so fitting.

Also, why isn't there a what the fukk option?

I'm not doing it man. I'm too smart. I'm not watching anymore. I'll watch the Steelers or GB or the Browns. I don't live in the NYC metro area anymore anyway so I'll just watch the games that are on. I'm not going to a bar to pay to see these assholes. I only went out to watch eight games this year, it might have only been seven. Most of those were at the beginning of the season. I'm seriously committed to just watching the games that are on. No more Jets for me until we start winning.

He's a brilliant defensive mind. Ranks up there with Wade Philips & Jim Schwartz.

    I want to win.

A Gase-Williams marriage could give the Jets a offensive genius and a defensive genius. Gase could focus on Darnold and the offense while Williams does his thing on defense. Retain the special teams coach from Bowles staff.

    In your eyes .
I don't believe he has any buisness in the league.
I guess I have higher moral standards.

I'm going to be positive. I like that he's:

    1. An offensive minded coach
    2. Had prior head coaching experience (in the division is a bonus)
    3. Young

That's it I got nothing more.

    Wow.. I'm done.

    I may be overreacting...

...but, if not, and I feel I'm not.

It's been fun. I've had a lot of great debates and conversation with a lot of you.

I just cant possibly fathom the level of stupid with this hire. How do you fucking sell this? Literally, how?

What a bunch of dumb mother fuckers running the Jets. Literally, fucking morons.

    Wow.

So fucking mad. Literally the one candidate I simply couldn't muster.

Fuck this fucking team. Fuck the Johnsons. Fuck it all.

    Disgrace. Fuck.

    Literally. Wow.

New England got busted for Spygate were fined, lost draft picks. They've been accused of other things since.

New Orleans got busted for putting bounties out on players Payton and Williams were suspended, fined.

Both teams got to keep their Lombardi trophies.

I hope no Jets are dumb enough to get busted doing illegal things yet are smart enough to know how to win.

    I want to win.

To me there is a big difference between filming from an undesignated area and offering money to injure a person, with large a bonus to end a career. The latter should have mandated lifetime bans for both as well as criminal charges IMO.

The main problem with this hiring is obvious. The Jets have been losers since 2011 (Really since 1970) and they needed a new face to give fans hope. Instead, they hire an underachieving rival's former Head Coach that they just fired after going (23-25). Gase had big promise after working with Peyton Manning, but the last 3 years in Miami did not impress many. In fact, I was bummed they fired him, because I thought there were in a holding pattern of mediocrity. The Jets were (1-5) against Gase, but any fan knows the Jets could have won most of, if not all, of those games. The hope Jets fans have to have is that Tannehill and Cutler were bad QB's and that Darnold will be much better. That is possible. Also that Gase has learned from his mistakes in Miami and will correct them in New York. His introductory Press Conference will be interesting to see. Hope he says the right stuff at least.

I like the Gase hire a lot. Darnold will love playing for him. Gase has upside, he could grow with Darnold, Adams etc.

If they go out and hire Gregg Williams like they should it would tell me the Jets have finally turned the corner and are ready to do what needs to be done to win. Not the popular or safe decisions but the best thing for the team even if it's not popular or safe at this time.

He's the offensive equivalent of Todd Bowles.
One sided. No involvement on the Defensive side of the ball.
Poor clock management, lack of in game adjustments, no communication between coaches, no accountability amongst players.
    What could go wrong?
After all he developed Tim Tebow into the FQB he is now for the Mets, took a complete bust in Payton Manning and singlehandedly turned him into a good QB. It's fucking genius....

With perennial luck as a Jets fan . . . Watch games or capsize and drown? Decisions, decisions. Why must we always be presented with such Pyrrhic choices?

    Edited for bolding purposes, lol.
