    Interesting question to pose.....

Sign Leveon Bell to a monster contract in the offseason or deal with a huge PR backlash and sign Kareem Hunt for probably not much money at all......

I vote the latter. Dude is a scumbag and what he did was absolutely disgusting but someone is going to sign him. Trot him out for some BS 'I am sorry" interview and talk about his rehab then by week 8 when he is on pace for 1400 yards and 15 TDs nobody will remember how big a dirtbag he is.

Yeah sorry in advance. Being a Jets fan makes you become desperate....

Personally I would love to scroll through NFL players names that were basically victims of women in labor trying to one up each other in the maternity ward.

youtube now owned by and in cahoots with all things to spy supreme on your life . . . There was an absolutely hilarious video YEARS ago - I'm talking YEARS ago -with two black girls (teenagers) reciting ridiculous names to a beat. "I went to the mall so I named my son D'Mall!" It received a lot of backlash, but it was very, very, funny. "Why can't you just name me Denise!" You'll never find it anywhere ever again, but it was brilliant. The backlash was from the black community, to be clear.

I fully understand why the name thing started and why it happened, but sometimes you just gotta say c'mon, now.

Problem with Hunt is we have no idea what his suspension will be .
I’d sign bell, bring back Powell and McGuire is a good backfield.

    No to Bell and Hunt!

Draft a RB like Snell in the 3rd or sign Mark Ingram or Peyton Barber in FA.

Give Bell whatever it will take to get him here, bring back McGuire, wait for Powell to get healthy.

    Sign Bell

I’m old and I hate divas and all the BS drama

BUT players play, winnners win, losers lose.

    Elite Talent usually wins.

For the next 3 years sign all the stupid over rated talent possible!

If we win it all, great

If we don’t, hopefully Sam has by then turned into a seasoned FQB who can now use his skill to steal some wins with some lesser talent.

I don’t want to hear about bringing in average guys who are team players. I don’t want to hear about rebuilding over time.

We hit in our KEY guy, and from now until 2030, our Mantra must be win now.

Sam is cheap, smart, mellow and can’t be rattled.

Bring in all the dregs of the NFL who have supreme talent. Let’s go 10-6 for 3 years and let Sam learn in the playoffs.

    Fuck the slow build.

    Nothing in life is guaranteed

Replace Hunt, Gurley, Zeke, and Kamara as top options with Mark Ingram. Do the Cowboys even make the playoffs? Do the Rams and Saints have home field? Do the Chiefs?

I always laugh when people say “just sign XXX”. Before anyone does that here, plug XXX into other teams lineups as their top back and ask if the dynamic of the offense is the same.

    Sign Bell. It’s a no-brainer.

I'd wipe out Crowell's contract, just like he enjoys wiping his ass with footballs.

If Bell wants to play here then sign him. He immediately transforms the offense and makes Darnold's job much easier.

Sign Bell. He's a diva, but I'll take a diva over a woman beater. Plus, he's better.

Sign Bell and make him the focal point of the offense (Running/Receiving) because I don’t see how we’re landing a top tier WR

Herndon,Enunwa, Robby, and a FA/Draft pick plus McGuire and maybe Powell is a nice start but we need a star for Sam

He’s not a bad guy and grew up a Jets fan...just made a business decision which I’m fine with and now he’s fresh

It's a no brainer--Bell is a proven star who costs no draft picks--The jets have the cap space and makes more sense than signing another Trumaine Johnson, Mo Wilk, Ryan Fitzpatrick or other MacCagnan brilliant signing

As far as signing troubled players, I'd sign a Kareem Hunt who's problems are off the field and not in the locker room, rather than someone like Antonio Brown who is a me-first diva in the worst way who's own teammates can't stand.

Leveon Bell is a me-first guy too but his teammates LOVE him. Bell is in the Revis mold of "I love my team, I love my brothers, but I gotta get paid".

Difference between Bell and Brown is Brown has already gotten paid and now is just a lazy diva his teammates can't stand.

In summary, get BOTH Kareem Hunt and Leveon Bell. And leave Antonio to rot.

Willy Colone & McLendon both like the idea of bringing in Bell Steve played with him in Pittsburgh & he knows what he brings to the table. They both said he is a team player that gives 100%...He just wanted the $ he is worth. I trust willy & steve's opinion of Bell. Willy said absolutely no to signing Brown.

Most likely, the Jets aren't going to be a playoff team next season anyway. The 2020 draft is supposed to be loaded with great RB prospects. Ingram will do quite nicely for 2019, then the Jets can draft a stud RB to start, and Ingram can be a red zone and short yardage specialist.

I laugh at posters who say sign Bell and act as if he is gonna not be rusty after not playing for a year, act as if he's going to stay healthy and play all 16 games, ignore his injury history, and ignore the fact that he likely would hold out next year for more money. And that's if he even signs with the Jets. Most likely, he'd only use us to drive up the price for other teams.

I also laugh at posters who think we can afford to sign Bell, DeMarcus Lawrence and 12 other FAs to fill out our roster.
