Why do Jet players keep endorsing him? Adams, Maye and noe Herndon. Weird.

@legler82 - You know anything about this?

If Kliff ends up being the hire, we need a top-flight/veteran DC brought in to call all the plays. Let Kliff handle the offense as is.

AKA, just follow the damn Ram's plan.

Hopefully the Browns decide to pass on Greg Williams as their HC and he is persuaded to come here to be the DC. You pair Williams with an offense minded HC like Monken, Klingsbury or McCarthy and I think the Jets will be a in a good place.

Why is it that every time I see Tom Brady's face I have an irresistible urge to punch it. God, I hate that guy. He's such an insufferable smug asshole. Danny Amendola, another smug asshole I'd like to punch almost as much because now he's with Miami (ewwwwww). In fact, I think I'll hunt down and punch out the whole team, starting with Constipated Bill, and the one time I would make an exception to elder abuse is Ernie Adams. I couldn't give a shit that he's an old man. It cracks me up that his official title is . . .

Jamal Adams is kind of Kanter, only people don’t play football with a calculator like they do with basketball. Jamal’s run D and LOS coverage is Kanter’s rebounding and post play. Jamal in coverage is Kanter on D.

Probably one of the biggest boom or bust options, but this would very much be in line with what the Rams did. Go the young route, and hire a top flight defensive coordinator to run the defense.

Kanter is one of the worst low post defenders in the entire league, so does that mean Adams is one of the worst safeties in the league against the pass? Adams is not that bad in coverage. He's not great, but he's not a bottom tier safety in coverage either.

It was more of a loose comparison which is why I started the whole thing with “kind of“

Either way no Jamal is not a bottom tier safety in coverage and no Kanter is nowhere near as bad as the Internet makes them out to be.

Pass on Kingsbury. Another flavor of the month, internet sensation. McCarthy is the guy we need to hone in on.

Kanter at best is a decent big man off the bench that will get you a double / double, but he's an absolute liability on the defensive side. Slow centers walk right past him to the basket. When the Knicks get Zion Williamson, Kanter will be an afterthought

Flavor of the month? He’s been making chicken salad out of chicken shit QBs for years and when he was hired by USC it was a big deal because most people expected him to get NFL calls. I’m not even saying he’s my candidate of choice I’m just saying there’s absolutely some credence to the thought that he can be an NFL coach. I just think it’s more in the coordinator role.

So, let me get this straight. We're going to hire someone who was fired from a college team after 3 straight losing seasons? This is really not a good idea.

This is why I laugh in general at all of the out rage on Twitter over him. You’re right, he’s going to be an afterthought because he’s not under contract past this year and clearly he’s not part of the future. Also sign me up for a guy that will get you a double double off the bench. It won’t happen here and I’m fine with that because we have bigger plans, but he’s an asset when used correctly.

This is not like 4 years ago..the team is young and has aFQB in place now...in the NY Post , Chris J saying a HC could "be a freakin legend". Chris is a bit excitable but perhaps this is true

No need to be that desperate and hire a Cliff K

I wasn't all in , but if the Harbaugh don't come here it's gotta be McCarthy

    New, rookie HC>>>>>>recipe for disaster
