I feel sorry for the people running the official NY Jets FB accounts - they have to keep trying to find something to be positive about day after day - I honestly don't know how they do it - hats off to them
Oh man... Enunwa was asked by a reporter for his opinion of the play calling and his response was along the lines of, "I have a job right now ... so I'm just going to keep those thoughts to myself." He also sort of called out other players' effort. LMFAO. This team is done.
I'm glad I did not waste my time and money going to a bar to watch the game slip away. On the other hand we are still in the running for the number one draft pic.
Heartbreaking loss. Ranks down there with the 14-0 blown lead vs Cleveland this season. I hate how it ended with the refs all but handing Tennessee the W with all those penalties on the final drive. What a clutch QB Mariota is. Jets had Mariota sacked early on that drive woulda put Tennessee in a huge hole right off the bat instead they call the Jets for a phantom penalty negating the sack. Then for good measure called a couple of more penalties to help push the Titans downfield. Hey that's what the league is now. Creating magical finishes. With legalized betting I think the government should take a close look at how some of these games are officiated.
I agree that the refs "managed" that game, as they do almost all the others to make sure games stay exciting and competitive. I've been saying this for a long time. That said, the Jets DID suck down the stretch, and the Titans probably didn't need that much help.
The officials didn't cost the Jets the game. 4 trips to the red zone resulting in Field goals, leaving those 16 points on the field, the missed tackles on Henry's runs, blown assignments, and repeated stupid penalties,( very real) cost the Jets the win.
