Jackson is viewed as a 2-3 year project by the Vikings organization. IMO, they may not have a choice. I pity Bollinger. Between last years Jets and this years Vikings, he has taken a beating. He had nowhere to hide. I think Bollinger throws a poor deep ball 2004, but I'm not going to call him a CFL quarterback in an NFL uniform. Simply put, Bollinger was in his first season as a starter with a subpar running game and a patchwork offensive line. I think he'll be a solid NFL backup. -X-
Don't you see his award, hes the most knowledgeable poster, how dare you assume brad childress knows more then ji2004. Come on man, get serious. I like bolly, has lots of heart, played his heart out for us.
Happy feet kept him from being a good QB. He had those feet moving when there was 0 rush. He played a ton of games last year, I don't know what else he wants... He's a scrub, end of discussion. 3rd stringer at best, and Minnesota got ripped in that deal.
how did minnesota get ripped??? they have an active player we have a player who is inactive every week.
2004, if you have a problem with Bollywood, I hope Vincenzo T. is already in the tire treads of the bus you're driving.
From Rotoworld: Brooks Bollinger needed an injection to deal with the pain after injuring his shoulder during Sunday's loss to the Bears. Bollinger was injured while being sacked by Adewale Ogunleye. His status is uncertain for next Sunday. Vikings head coach Brad Childress remains undecided on a starting quarterback heading to Week 14. Tough luck man.
No, he's saying that if they start Bollinger and lose to us because of him, they pretty much gave us that win in the trade.
I'd love for Brooks to play against the Jets. He knows this defense, so it'd be interesting to see how that would go.
Without the bad Carolina game last year, he would have had a QB rating of about 80 last year, and that was with 3/5 of our starting line coming off the streets.......
I don't think Bollinger knows this defense. He saw a vanilla training camp defense, and Mangini, like Belichick, makes adjustments and gives QBs a different look every time they face him. That and the fact he sucks makes it a non-factor.
Well maybe not this core defense we have now , but he has an idea of what the defense may be all about.
CaliBUR? Is that like shingles, some sort of disease? Or like a calcium deposit on a tooth or something?
To say Brooks is aweful is way over the top. He probably isn't a starter in the NFL but he is a servicable backup. If it wasn't for Brooks "happy feet" he would be dead.
The fact that a 40+ QB that was on his sofa 2 weeks prior passed him up and started says all you need to know about Bollinger.. Good thing this isn't college, he couldn't reach the opposite sideline from the far hash.
