Exactly what you did in the threads with all your idiotic posts breaking down highlight film of draft prospects. Denigrate posters who disagree with you. And then deny it.
You summed it up perfectly. We are wasting our lives watching a Bowles coach Jets team. Nothing is exceptional in this organization.
Like this one? Although he didn't denigrate the person he was replying to here. http://forums.theganggreen.com/thre...lass-prefers-allen.90271/page-13#post-3680178
Just want an honest opinion. Does anyone on this board think Bowels could have a sustained winning culture here? I don't even think he can string together 2-3 straight wins.
I agree as a head coach they are responsible to make sure everyone is functioning correctly. the problem with it though is a manager in a company can fire and hire people where a HC has to do the best with what's he given. Still my point wasn't that bowles is a great HC, my point was that he has things he can be directly blamed for that needs improvements and that people here go pile on fake news complaints for some reason that aren't valid. How many times did we hear the bowles doens't play rookies nonsense? Surely you can't think that holds any merit? to be fair we are still limited. we can't generate a pass rush without blitzing. out o-line can't provide a run game or protect the QB. that does limit what can be done. with that said i agree out gameplans have been terrible and too conservative as a team with nothing to lose I honestly wouldn't mind changing coordinators again. bates is off to a bad start. I don't like rodgers playcalling on D either but to be fair our D has always been top 10 under bowles
lay off the booze i am on topic. some people here are too emotional and not rational. You can't have a discussion with an emotional person
Football will do that Solid. Losing football will bring all of that out. You may have been on topic but there are many other parameters that could fit inside your narrative. I don't know who posted the lay off the booze comment but it wasn't in my initial reply. At some point you will have to come around to the fact that Bowles is an idiot head coach. Now he may have been a good coordinator because he had less responsibilities. But its year 4 and they are not progressing and more importantly, they are not winning. No one wants to see anymore of this.
I get it. I don't blame people for being overly emotional. We all love the jets and sometimes we need to vent our frustrations because the jets have sucked pretty much since the 70s i never said bowles was a good coach, i never said he was a bad coach. he has his faults as do all coaches but he's never really been given a good team to coach either. 2019 should be the first time he has a good roster. everyone knows you don't win without a good QB and the jets haven't had one of those since 2002 chad before the injury. that was 16 years ago but rex did wonders with sachez and bowles did a hell of a job with fitzpatrick 10 wins with our old ass roster overachieving was a good job. now we are in year 2 of a rebuild. I get the frustration, i really do but i'm just saying you can't discuss something logically with frustrated and emotional people
What Jets coach that has been bad for years turns the Jets around and start winning? I'll wait for an answer.
If Todd Bowles was able to win 10 games with a team that had a questionable QB, but had a career year, it may say a lot about what one should expect going forward if all things are equal. Problem is , the OL is not equal or up to the task as was the case in 2015. The defense is another story - same coordinator but different results. It may be because with so much change in personnel, the confusion on the field is based on a new mix. It could be a simple case of the players needing time to get to know and to react to each others habits and abilities. I don't know but all I can gather from this is that this team has the talent and it's just a matter of time before they are able to put it together. I think these nest 3 games will tell us all we need to know..
disagree there. herm had a good roster save for a QB that kept getting hurt. Rex had a good roster except QB and RB and to be fair to rex he did get us to back to back AFC champ games with that roster.
Sounds like you agreed with me. We are talking totality of the roster, not just one or two players. My post says that Rex had a good roster the first two years.
it's hard to say any team has a good roster without a decent QB. maybe save for the 2000 ravens team but they had a 2k yard RB and a top defense all time. the jets were nowhere near that. our RBs were decent at best, out QBs sucked, out WRs were iffy for the most part. remember when cochery was our number 1 WR for years? remember when sanchez was drafted and our top 3 WRs were cochery, stuckey, and clowney? Rex and herm had good defensive talent and a good o-line but lacked the players for a good offense. save for 2002 when we had chad at QB and healthy. that and the 1998-1999 seasons were probably the only good rosters we had
