so... in the beginning of the year, we were considered to be the ones fighting for the Brady Quinn or the #1 pick in 2007 and the Giants were thought to be the ones to go deep into the playoffs and even be super bowl contenders. Now, we are 7-5 shocking the world and are on a possible improbable run, which the nfl is finally recognizing and the Giants are at .500 struggling and are proving they are no contenders, but pretenders. ARE WE THE BEST FOOTBALL team in NY? ALSO... if someone asks you right now WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE ELI MANNING OR CHAD PENNINGTON AS YOUR QB? WHAT WOULD YOU ANSWER?
The Jets are a better team than the Giants, yes. The Giants just don't have everything clicking and the Jets do. As for the other question...in terms of potential, you HAVE to go with Eli. He's younger, and potentially, much much greater. Chad's not getting much better...you get what you get...a solid NFL QB
I have always thought that Eli was chosen so early only because of his last name. I admit that I do not watch many (if any) Giants games but I feel that Eli has been given so much praise, not for what he has accomplished but rather only because his brother is so good. I am very happy that Chad is our QB and not the other brother.
Eli has that deer in the headlights look. I don't think that looke will ever go away. Chad is a confident man beast.
We are,definetly. I love how the giants have become a team of finger pointing and falling apart. I never really hated the Giants,but i can't root for Eli after what he pulled.
I really hate these "best team in NY" debates. Who gives a $hit about the Giants? Totally different team, totally different (and weaker) conference. Just focus on the real goals at hand, not stupid, pathetic city rivalries which end up meaning jack $hit.
Though it is arguable that, man for man, the Giants are a better team; The Jets, by far, are the better Coached team.
what your saying is ridiculous, the fact that we never get as much attention as the giants do pisses me off... and it should be time that we get the more publicity. Chad is a better QB, and has the leadership qualities that Eli the slouch looking lazy QB will never develop
In all reality, on offense the Giants have a better TB,FB, and TE. We have a better QB, OL, and WR's. Defense is pretty much the same. Even with their starters the Giants defense isn't too great. At this point... we have the better team due to coaching.
The jets play as a team, which means they are a better team. Individual giants players will win individual matchups against alot of jets players at the same positions, but the jets play much better as a team. The jets are a better coached team, which is obvious. Tom Coughlin is doing a horrible job. I was watching the cowboys game as hard as i was the jets game, because a jets win and a giants loss is a great frickin sunday. But you know how new york is, the giants are probably gonna be on the back page of the post of the daily news tomorrow morning even though they lost. I'm surprised theres not more giants haters on this board, but i am one of them. I haven't seen too much talk about hating the giants, probably because they don't affect the jets in playoff contention. As far as Pennington vs Manning, Pennington by far. Eli looks like he's gonna cry whenever i see him. They way pennington played today and last week, i'll take him over manning any day.
