The threads this week will be all about "We don't need to draft a RB in the draft anymore". The same way it was for Leon when he had those good games. Everytime Houston is called upon he delivers. Houston & Leon seem like a good 1-2 punch.

Houston and Leon can lead this backfield for years to come, I have been saying this for awhile. They both have great talent.

Packers are 16th against the run in the league. Calm down, this is a solid performance from Houston against a middle of the road run d.

Both played very well, splitting hairs between them.

It doesn't even matter who "starts" the game. They're both going to get equal playing time.

There will be teams that Leon matches up better against and we'll be glad for the 2-RB rotation. They compliment each other well but they both have weaknesses.

I don't care who starts. If either one of them starts to make break out plays then that's the back we'll use the most. This week it was Houston's game.

I love this combo, these 2 are sick.

    Today's game:
    Houston - 22 carries for 105 yds, 2 TDs, avg 4.8ypc
    Washington - 7 carries for 40 yds, 1 TD, avg 5.7ypc, 2 rec for 26 yds

Both had great days. Next time I'd like to see the carries between them a little more evened out though.

Yeah. Those are good stats. I'm not really upset Leon didn't get more carries. Like I said. It's all about which of the two of them is perfroming better. Leon was getting stacked up on more.

There is no point splitting carries just because you want them to have equal carries. Give them both a chance to start the game and see which one finds a rhythm and use that one. The good thing about this tandem is that they have such different styles which creates a mismatch for a defense.

Houston is such a rock! I love this guy! I've been calling for him since day 1 of last year.

Obviously you just have your eye on a "potential" playmaking RB coming out of college this year. Who is it? Come' on...Who?

Adrian Peterson? Kenny Irons? Marshawn Lynch?

Seriously though, why would you want to draft a RB next year if we have capable backs already? Backs that will only get better as the years go on. We can put our picks to fill some important holes now. CB? DL? Who knows? If it's not broke, dont fix it..

Thank god Barlow was inactive today we actually got to see RB's that hit the hole hard when they are open everytime they touch the ball and not just when they are on the goaline. Barlow has had the most carries of any back on the team and by far has the least yards per carry. I think that mangini was playing Barlow all the time early in the season so teams wouldnt know what we have with these two backs as we make our playoff push.

I like both of these backs, but neither will ever be an elite player... by no means do I think the Jets will be scrambling to find another halfback as long as theyve got these guys on the roster, but if a guy like Kenny Irons or Adrian Peterson falls into the Jets lap, I wouldnt be surprised to see them grab him.

There was a time when the Patriots cobbled together a running game with Kevin Faulk and Antowaine Smith. They couldve just ran with that, but instead they grabbed Corey Dillon when he became available, and he did a lot for that team (for two years). I know all the Patriots examples get old around here, but its all relevant... Mangini saw what a guy like Dillon did for that team.

I like the production were getting out of what weve got, and I would agree that halfback isnt exactly a high priority thing this offseason, but I dont think you can say enough about what an elite tailback can bring to your team.

We got a few more games to see if they are the real thing. Im hoping but im not totally convinced yet. We have seen what can happen up against big defenses like chicago and even houston (who are actually pretty shit) This may be due to both of them being pretty young... so we will see

I don't have time to read the whole thread. I agree with you. I think the best part out of what we see from these two guys is that in the off-season it will be about getting more talent around these guys rather than any kind of upgrade or replacement.

I could see us going after a slip through the drafting cracks back in round four, but that is about it.
