Tonight's Seahawks game is eerily reminiscent of the Jets games during Rex Ryan days. Defense plays heroically for 3 quarters, offense shits all over the bed, and the defense breaks down in 4th quarter.
Brilliant special teams decision there for Seattle - they're kicking from midfield because of the leverage penalty on the extra point, and they use a drop kick on the kickoff to pin the Bears back at the 15.
Too funny that Jet fans didn’t want this guy. Notwithstanding the fact that Oakland wasn’t trading him to us but still, armchair GMs here didn’t want to pay the price to elevate our entire defense. Crazy. The guy’s a monster.
We all knew he was this good. Not all wanted to pay with 2 1's. [I am in that camp still - that is after tonight's showing.]
And now Wilson shows no awareness as he's running towards the line and gets tackled and fumbles. It's a good thing Sherman isn't on the team any more, because if he was he'd be throwing Wilson into a locker after this game. It isn't necessarily fair, of course, since Seattle's offense is putrid, but Wilson came up really small here in the fourth quarter.
A QB of Wilson's calibre could come away with 1 TD pass in 4th quarter. Anything less would have been brutal. I think I'm going to enjoy Seahawks game this year. They are a strong candidate to go 0-16 this year. God Bless Brian Schottenheimer.
I’ve seen quite a few people say that and I don’t get it. You can see the difference he’s already made on their defense. Obviously they are a better team with him. He is elevating the whole defense. The draft picks were steep but I don’t see too many players his caliber in recent drafts...dude is heading to be an all-timer. Draft picks are hit and miss...id take a known entity anyday over some possible/maybe/potential pick.
why would we want proven all pro players when we can draft bust after bust and hit on a semi avg player once every 3 years and call him our BPA
I don’t care about the Bears or the Raiders or whether either of them have been or will be good or playoffs teams. That’s not the point.
Folks keep pointing to the Bears. We’re NOT the Bears. Who cares what he does with the Bears. I wanted him to elevate OUR defense. With Mack we’re 2-0 right now.
