Silly 12 pages of pure fantasy. The Raiders aren't trading K Mack this year.( if they were they would have traded him during the 2018 draft- they control him for at least three more years). Greenbay would easily give up both of their first rounds in 2019 for K Mack .

The Jets after this year have a better chance of getting K Osemele in a trade , than K Mack.

bro, you cannot give a 28 year old RB a gigantic contract. Period. End of story. Fight another battle

He's only 26 therefore he'll only be 27 come Free Agency.

And the way it's looking. The Raiders will not trade Khalil Mack anytime soon. And if so, it'll take a massive trade package to get him.

With Le'Veon Bell. The Jets will be able to afford the NFL's best overall back more than any other team. He's more than just an RB too. He's put up 160 receptions over the past two years.

You may not like the idea, but just go and ask a young Sam Darnold himself, if he'd love to feature and have one of the NFL's greatest security blankets with an ability to record 80 receptions per season. A master mind OC in coach Bates would love it too.

He's not "just an RB" either.

He's by far one of the NFL's top 5 offensive skilled players in terms of on field production. Regardless of position.

He's combined for a total of 3,830 yards from scrimmage and 20 offensive TD's over the past two season's.

Yea. Right. "Just an RB". My ass.

At only 27 years of age he'll be well worth a 3-4 year contract he's one of the most versatile offensive weapons combined with elite field vision in which this game has seen in quite some time. He'll also make an extremely young Sam Darnold's job 10x easier.

With Le'Veon Bell our Offensive attack then becomes a feared one over night. With 100M+ in available cap space not only can NY sign a top 5 offensive weapon in Bell but still have more than enough available cap space to A.) Look to sign an Edge/Outside pass rusher and B.) Look to attack O-Line through both the draft and FA.

The Jets are sitting on a massive amount of Cap Space.

Imagine if 2019's offseason goes something like this....

Le'Veon Bell & Dante Fowler Jr as our two offseason Free Agency splashes and LT Trey Adams with our 1st round pick.

NY just attacked free agency with a top 5 offensive weapon in Le'Veon Bell, an athletically gifted pass rusher in Fowler Jr. along with a Franchise LT to protect Sam Darnold's blind side. During one offseason.

NY then heads into 2019 as a serious AFC contender. With still a boat load of available salary cap space moving forward.

We have not had a dominant game changing 3 down back since #28 Curtis Martin. Now that we've just landed a Franchise hopeful QB the time to strike is now. Our offense has been starved for way too long.

Peyton Manning. A young Peyton Manning does not become who he is today without the Edge James as his go to back. #18 blew up with Edge back there.

No matter what anyone has to say, landing Le'Veon Bell will not cripple the chance to improve our O-Line or sign a potential FA pass rusher. We're fully loaded.

Martin was 25 in his first season with the Jets and had less mileage than Bell would in 2019 if we sign him.

Jets are getting the 3rd best odds to trade for Mack. Make Mack happen Mac.

You have to factor in his off the field issues as well. Constantly late to meetings, multiple drug suspensions,
He's a locker room cancer, speaks out on Twitter against the coaching staff and Team, his injury history, ACL tear then an mcl tear. At what price?
What happens when he finally gets that mega deal? If you want to compare him to Martin and LT, compare them completely. Two class guys who put the team first.
In Bell your getting Revised (the mercenary), Sheldon( the drugs and immaturity) and Mo, ( the lazy locker room cancer). There is a reason the Steelers will not commit to him long term. He is one drug test away from a one year suspension and that twice injured knee can fail on any run. That's alot to gamble on.

Mac did quietly pull off the St. Patrick's Day trade for the 3rd overall pick, which amounted in trading for Sam Darnold. I have faith in Mac getting a trade done for Mack if the Raiders are listening. Jets have the cap space to make a long term commitment to Mack. I'm crossing my fingers. Mack is certainly worth a 1st rd pick in my honest opinion.

A KHALIL MACK TRADE COULD BE IMMINENT

Sorry, Raiders fans, but according to the odds, it’s more likely than not that Khalil Mack is shipped out of Oakland before the NFL’s trade deadline.

Mack’s holdout with the Raiders has reached uncomfortable levels and the rumors about a potential trade for the former Defensive Player of the Year are getting out of hand.

MyBookie was first to market with the odds, setting the Yes option for Khalil Mack to be traded before the deadline at a staggering -500 and pegging the Packers as the favorites to acquire the maligned superstar.

While it seems foolish that a team would trade its best defensive player over a salary dispute a season removed from allowing over 350 yards per game, the Raiders have made little to no progress on a contract extension for Mack and with money tight in Oakland, the simplest answer might be to swap him for draft picks and go back to the drawing board in preparation for the move to Las Vegas.

To that point, the Packers could be positioned to offer the Raiders what they need for Mack. Green Bay has two 2019 first-round picks and with the clock ticking on Aaron Rodgers, the Packers would likely pull the trigger on a deal for Mack if it improved their chances of getting back to the Super Bowl.

The Raiders still have a shot to retain Mack but the odds at MyBookie are not in their favor and the regular season is rapidly approaching.

Perfect example. As great as Sanders was, what did he ever win? AP? Great backs who get big rushing totals aren't nearly as essential as we like to think.

But the OL still needs a LT and those don't grow on trees. :( Need to to keep the first round pick for the OL IMO.

Curious what's changed to effect the Jets odds. Pointless nonsense and pure guesswork based on nothing other than looking at roster and cap room IMO

  12. The mileage argument i dont subscribe to. I got burnt having that exact same thought process when Bell came out of THE state university of Michigan. But some guys just dont wear down that way..and Bell is one of them.Additionally if the Jets were to bring him in it’s still RB by commitee..sure Bell’s gonna get more carries than the other backs but i have a hard time believing hes gonna be a 3 down bell cow for 16+ games. His workload would be kept reasonable.

Objectively speaking hes a top 3 RB in the league & does far more than just run the ball.I def believe we could spend our excess cap funds more dilligently but assuming OL & pass rush still get addressed its kind of hard to be too upset w signing arguably the best RB in the game well under 30 years old who grew up pulling for the Jets..afterall its only right that Darnold be provided some top level weaponry esp w whats going on in Cleveland as well what happened here w Sanchez.

Regardless if some of you realize it or not, but the RB position is a real thing again and has came back alive over night.

    Le'Veon Bell (Pittsburgh).
    LeSean McCoy (Bills).
    Ezekiel Elliot (Dallas).
    Todd Gurley (Rams).
    Leonard Fournette (Jacksonville).
    Melvin Gordon (Chargers).
    Devonta Freeman (Falcons).
    Kareem Hunt (K.C).
    Alvin Kamara (Saints).
    Saquon Barkley (NYG).

8 of the top 10 players from last year in regards to Yards From Scrimmage were RB's; with only Julio Jones (8) and Keenan Allen (9) as WR's who could crack the top 10.

Mostly all of those RB's were drafted by their respected teams but if the #1 back of them all in Le'Veon Bell could be had in order to give Sam Darnold one of the NFL's deadliest offensive weapons, you pull the trigger.

Just take a look and see what happened once Peyton Manning was blessed with Edgerrin James.

In 1998 P.Manning went 3-13 during his rookie season. The very next year 1999 they drafted Edge and they went 13-3 while he ran for 1,553 yards and 13 TD's along with 62 receptions, 586 receiving yards and another 4 TD's.

Manning had a QB Rating of only 71.2 his rookie season followed by 90.7 his 2nd year due to a dual threat RB who easily opened up the game for Manning.

Give Darnold a Le'Veon Bell as a 2nd year QB and watch Darnold begin to flourish next year as #18 once did with the Edge.

AFAIK, all of those RB's you listed were drafted by the their respective teams. IMO, we need to draft our next good RB and get the best years while on his rookie contract.

no to giving bell a contract. he is a meshawn, sheldon, wikerson type of player.
steelers are consistant winners because they do not overpay guys, except maybe big ben.
ok to sign an edge rusher , fowler, or a couple of o-line guys.
mike and kyle shanny offense gets lots of yardage out of low round backs, if the o-line is competant.
even the hoodie admitted that he hated game planning against a shanny offense most of all.
just because you have a lot of cap space this offseason, does not mean you spend it foolishly.
no to bell! did you forget how dude mouthed off, against signing /playing for the jets?

If Jets have so much cap room, they should spread that cap room for the OL first, come free agency.

That single big splash gets you nowhere. T-Bomb years should have taught you enough already.

Problem with that idea is that the pickings will be slim as teams don't let good OL walk in free agency. We need to find our next Brick in the draft.

Honestly, I don't believe that the Raiders will trade Mack. It will take more than a first round pick to get the deal done and Mack would have to agree to a long term deal with that new team in advance.
The Raiders were extremely quiet regarding Mack but that has changed. They have said that they have a plan in place to catch him up when he returns, Gruden has said they want him back and they have been working to improve the D line to Mack Mack even better when he returns. There has been a lot of chatter from their fan base that the $100 million dollar coach needs to pay the best player, and suddenly Gruden says that he is not making near $100 million dollars and those reports were false. See
You don't pay a running back in excess of $20 million dollars per year to be part of a RB by comittee scheme. Doing so negates his value.
