Amazing might be extreme on the other side. Both Allen and Baker played well considering it was their first live NFL action. I don’t feel the need to put those 2 down to be happy with Darnold. Their performances are mutually inclusive.

Did you watch the game or are you just posting from a box score? I love Sam and am much happier with him than any other QB and think he will be the best pro of the bunch but if you are trying to sh*t on Bakers performance from last night in his first action as a QB then you know nothing about football

Absolutely. He looks like he is very comfortable with the offense and is making pretty quick decisions. Really like what I am seeing

I'm not a Baker fan by any stretch but I thought he looked really good last night. He was decisive and managed the huddle. Made some nice throws. Pretty successful first action for a rookie.
Expected alot more arm strength from darnold. not that he is a pennington esque wet noodle, but thought he had a really strong arm. maybe nerves? so far decision making on all throws has been solid. including the third and long incompletion. only throw that made me cringe a bit was the first one. predetermined swing throw to the back, never looked down field, defenders read his eyes and swarmed the back as soon as he caught it beyond that not bad
Cannon and McGuire paired with Crowell and Powell is looking like a really diverse and very good backfield. Liking what I see so far from this group and Sterling and Charles Johnson looking good as well
