Yes, he has finally played to his potential... his first time he's looked good in his 5 years... So you give him another 5? I'd like to see more out of him than just 11 games in his career. Didn't we learn from the Herm era about throwing around 5+ year contracts? Lance Legree got 5... didn't live up to it and got cut after 1. Derrick Blaylock got 5... hasn't lived up to it and will probably get cut after 2... Justin McCareins got 7... hasn't lived up to it in his 3 years... Chad Pennington got 7... hasn't really been healthy or consistent enough to live up to it... etc. etc.

Cotchery can't really return punts. He can field them though. He returned last year and barely got any yards, but I'd feel safe with him back there.

I wouldn't want to overuse him though. He's a great receiver.

Leon had the preseason PR TD, he'll probably get it. I'd take either him or Brad Smith.

    Hey, Way to exaggerate!

I remember when everyone was just heated that we were using him on KR's.
Wow, I haven't heard a PEEP from them.

    Next up. J-Mil on PR's!!!

How about rooting for a guy to succeed instead of beating him down for a few rookie mistakes.

Why does D'Brick get a pass when he wiffs and Gets Penny smashed??

When were people heated he returned kickoffs?

I don't remember that ever beign a problem, I could be wrong though.

I just can't trust him on punts, I don't want to be worried about my punt returner catching every punt.

However, Mangini has been watching them in practice, we haven't, so I trust his judgement, I'm sure if Miller can do it he'll get a shot.

Too bad the Board went down. Believe me he was lambasted for anything.

I can't believe I am saying this about a JETS coach but I also believe that and feel that if he Isn't back there then Mangini saw something and I trust his judgement.

I'm just glad that we filnally have a CS where the best man gets the Job....
    FINALLY!

Normally I'd give the player a benefit of a doubt, but Miller was completely lost last year in PR, between the preseason and reg season last year he must have muffed close to 10, and that is the last thing we need right now is giveaways from the special teams, I'd give Leon a try

I hope miller gets anothr shot a PR. He has a lot of talent and I think that he has learned from his mistakes. Vote for Miller, Miller time.

Actually that was a kick return I believe, although I agree that Leon should return punts.

I'd go with Brad Smith, if he shows he can do it consistently.

Personally, I think I'd want Cotchery back there returning my kicks. Great hands and good speed.

But Cotch being the #2.. don't want to overwork your top guys. It's time for someone else to step up.

Dwight was doing nice things on 3rd downs for us but he was doing a bad job as a PR. he had completely lost his burst but he was sure handed.

Since playing multiple positions is the best way to stay on Mangini's roster, I don't see why Washington or Smith couldn't try out for the job. I still have nightmares of Dedric Ward and his "fair catches".

Not sure about JMac though. I've always heard you have to just a bit nutz to play on ST's anyway..
